All this talk about the old spark plugs has made me decide I had better get some new plugs.

Dang last time I bought plugs I only had to buy 4, now I have to shell out 1.5 times the amount! Just wondering what gap to set the plugs at or will the gap set by the manufacturer be ok? Also I know there is a lot of debate about which plugs are the best. To be honest I don't give a rats arse about power gains or what not, all I want is a good value, decent plug, any reconmendations?

Cheers

don't muck around with gaps set to as manufacture standard
I use NGK IridiumIX and they're good, don't have to change it for the rest of the life

Yeah i use the NGK Irridium IX aswell, pretty happy with em
You'll find that most plugs when bought come correctly gapped from the factory, but it is good to check anyway in case they got knocked around, but 99% of the time they are fine :P

I think the gap is 1-1.1mm but as the other guys said they're usually pretty right.

I think it says it in the manual somewhere.

There's a sticker on the underside of the bonnet that will tell you gap.
