Ok BA hatch geeks, answer me this

So i buy myself a MS knob because it comes with the leather shift boot...but it also comes with some handle thingy.

So wtf is it? The thing on the right.

It (トランク用のノブ) translates to "The knob for suitcases"/"trunk for Knob"/"Knob for trunk"

...so is it some sort of handle for the hatch tailgate?

What the. Never seen that before. Pretty sure there is no handle or room for one on the tailgate...

would it be a bit in the plastic trim of the actual tail gate? like a handle to lift up...

i thought it might bolt to either the under side f the tailgate (as in where the join is when it's closed) to hook your fingers around behind into it as an easier grab handle. Or to the back wall/inside of the tailgate.

maybe u bolt it to the floor and the handle of ur suitcases go in it??? ridiculous sounding i know.. but hey... that doesnt belong on the tailgate.

I don't know if the hatch has this

but well on the 7 seat GV wagon's on thE import boot lids I have seen with 7 seat option. The handles on a couple have had the leather trim.

Normal it's plastic but it's leather trim handle well actually the handle is the rest is vinal.

But also I would of thought it would be the close down handle - the handle for pulling close the trunk. Weird but. Really weird.

I would say it is the little plastic 'handle' on the underside of the boot lid that you can use to pull the boot (boot where you put things, not shift boot)up/down...
Looks simular to whats on my BJ boot anyway.
Sorry, i am unsure if the BA has this, but it looks identical to the part from mine.

Maybe whoever it is just collected everything they could to do with a 'boot' thinking it all went together with the 'knob boot'... possibly off a wreck and they knew nothing about cars...
Just a thought.
