Hey fellas,

Just rang tempe tyres to look at getting some rims for my car. The dude i spoke to says they aren't able to do engineers certificates nor was he aware of any place that could.

Given i live in Sydney and i'm looking for 17x7 rims, how would i find out where to go to get my cert? Has anyone had to go through this process before?

Check with your state registration authority. I know that Vic Roads posts details of engineers in Victoria but I don't know 'bout NSW.

its amazing what you'll find on the rta website...

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi15rev-12_july07.pdf

my car is engineered by phillip scott. expect to pay for a nsw engineers cert too

bare in mind you only need an engineers cert if you are differing in the roleing diameter by x amount, im not sure waht the ammount is.

thanks very much guys, i'm kinda more familiar around bikes than i am with cars. Looking at the document i've found someone who is practically down the road from me.

So its pretty much as simple as just ringing the guy and saying "can you do whatever you need to do to get this car legally sitting on 17s"?
