Hey lads and lassies. Talked to my neighbour about car washing etc. and... to my surprise he adds a cupful of kerosene to his wash mix. Now he explained the logic, to me
1. bird guano is acidic enough to go through normal car waxing stuff
2. kerosene leaves a fine layer of oily film on ur paint which repels even water
3. kerosene is cheap
So the concept is that you just wet the car down and pretty much just wipe stuff off it, most of it comes off just washing it...
My major concern is whether kerosene will damage the paint at all, anybody heard of doingi this or know whether kerosene (other than giving you lung cancer) damages/eats through paint or not?
