View Full Version : BGs getting high beamed

Does it appear that I'm getting high beamed constantly because the BG is so low that headlights of oncoming cars shine straight into your eye-balls? Or am I getting blasted with high beams?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I went for a drive tonight and a few 4WDs and a Tarago, in particular, lights were insanely bright.

yep, ive noticed the same thing actually and was comparing how low the bg is compared to all the other cars at work...

i keep ****ting my pants and thinking that cops are up ahead with radar guns

4wds and utes and vans will always seem like they have brighter lights cause of their height...its not high beams...

its cause we got lower cars than 4wds... they sit heigher...the lights are angled to shine abit further meanin the low beams come right into our faces...its simple logics :p

I never realised just how low the BA Astinas are until I hoped back into my sisters BA hatch after driving the SP23 for two years. Some people call them an 'old mans car'. I'd just like to know how many old 'men' really drive them given how difficult it would be getting in and out of the damn things!

my BA is 60-70mm lower than standard, drving in the BK is like driving a higher 4WD... so i understand that.

you'd be suprised by how many old women drive them...

Not so much old men tho.

Yeah... that's why I wished I'd had the money to turn mine into a sleeper. Give those ricers (not the true modders) at Terrigal or Somersby something to think about after an 'old man car' leaves them for dead... Oh well.

Its the most rewarding feeling.

I like that word, 'ricers', so true in so many cases.

Yah, true. Though I don't have a problem with anything anyone does to their car. Only the attitude that the driver has towards cars and other car enthusiasts.

That's actually my definition of Ricer. If somebody adds a massive drag wing just because they want to, I don't really care. If they think it makes the car look 'like, fully hectic, yo' or 'improves grip when cornering, yo' (on a front wheel drive Honda Civic), THAT'S when they become ricers. My car does 0-100 in 4.3 seconds after a CAI and new exhaust/extractors... yeah, whatever. :p
