hey guys,

havent been too active since the turbo sold to a FL.com fellow. i still have it, just getting it ready for delivery and everything. the closer agt and fl users would know that i bought a r31 skyline. just got it rego'd and running up to "dan spec" and it got written off, some fellow ran a red and wrote it off up near Letchford Photography on petrie tce in brisbane (milton)

anyways, it could of been really bad but as i saw him coming through i took my seat belt off and jumped into the passenger seat, the car almost rolled over with the amount of force that went through.. very lucky i was not killed.this was all on xmas morning too ahaha.

anyways, im up for a new car now and i am thinking about getting a SP astina AGAIIIINNN!! this will be the forth SP over 8 years... i really like the car and i know them so well so i figured why not. its only for $500 so its not alot, needs work, plan to put $1200 into it with new shocks and monster turbo(not)...

so, itll be good to still be in the group if all goes well, i will be looking in the next few days (depending on when the owner is available) and ill let chaz all know how it goes..

Mate even if you dont own a Astina you are still how should we say "part of the group" if you get an astina go NA spec, you said you liked the NA so why not?

i got the astina today, it has really bad oil leaks in the engine but john will fix that for some cash, wont you johnny ;)

car goes really well, its a bit of a heap of poo at the moment, but with help of mates and what not, it will be be a relaly good car!

yeah the r31 was tastfully mod'd, zappy went for a drive in it with me!
i really enjoyed it, it was really nice to be in and drive, sounded nice with a full zorst and CAI with lumpy lumpy cams with a oversized throttle body :)

Glad to hear you're ok though. Too many tragedies around xmas, that sounds like a near miracle. r32's for my money, but i imagine it was built strong!

Yeah zappy MIGHT help you with your oil leaks....if you want parts and stuff go directly to greg for the timing belt kits ( they have tensioners, cam seals, crank seals and the belt + you can get the other belts for cheap) as for the rebuild we talked about last night, Performance wholesale are really cheap...it cost me around $160 for the main bearings, big end bearings and the thrust bearings, BUT a rebuild even if a simple pull out rebuild job sounds simple, it aint...BUT i can fix the oil leaks with you for a price...as for that R31, it wasnt bad for the money but i like the R32 GTR better....or maybe even the R34 GTR MONSTER!! hahahaha...ill keep the BP for now though...post some pics so we can see the damage (the astina i mean!) you always seem to buy sh!t heaps dont you Dan:P

well i saw him coming, within about .8 of secondz of seeing him, i took the belt off and threw myself across the car in the passengers seat.. i still had the belt around me sorta but it gave me slack as it was undone. i have cuts everywhere and serve brusing.... the glass was sprayed everywhere. it put a new value on safe driving and .. your life!!

yeah, you can rebuild the 32 GTR as well when i have the money :P thats if you still want to!

its strange, when the car is idleing sometimes it smokes like you wouldnt believe out the tailpipe, the color is a raw blue. other times you smell it and it smells like its a new honda jazz or something :S... then when its been idleing for a bit and u give it some, lots of blue smoke comes out

there is smoke coming everywhere from the engine bay.. there is alot of oil under there.. im going to get the engine like steam cleaned or seomthing, dad knows a guy who does it to his GU patrol and it comes up relaly nicely! that way i will be able to idenify leaks and their source and itll make it nice you you, John to work on! :D

sounds like some valve's are stuffed, might as well rip apart the engine & throw some NA goodie's at it :p.

I say i pull the engine apart, we send it away for a 40thou bore out for some added torque, maybe stroke it for some added torque again, the some greatly added over lifted cams, with strengthened valve springs, retainers etc...add to that a 2.5" exhaust with a MT install and a fuel pump, you might get 110-120kw atw but it will be fun...kinda like a screaming wheemy....hahahaha
