... i now wear flano shirts, smoke winfield reds, am growing a mullet and changed my girlfriends name to shazza ... yes thats right ... i have joined the tyre smoking petrol guzzling world of commodore owners (hi greg!) I picked up this hectic beast on the weekend (mate was selling it at the right price)

she is a 2001 one model s ute (s for SSIIIIKK / do a SSSSkiidd) with just over 100 000ks on the clock. its pretty much standard apart from the clubsport wheels, i already ripped the nudge bar off but i think the sports bar can stay for the moment. this will just be my daily / work ute while i pretty up the astina (dont despair - its not going anywhere!) and ill probably leave it exactly as it is apart from lowering it and giving it a bit of a stereo. so there you go ... call me dazza and hand me a VB!

yeah keeping the astina ... going to superdooper it up now i dont have to drive it everyday. as for the ute its staying hte way it is ... going to lower it a bit (with help from gsl rallysport ;) ) and put a stereo it in but that will be all, not much point doing anything else to it ... its only an auto v6

yeah it was lukes ute ... i think he wanted something a bit more fun to drive and i needed something for work so the deal was meant to be i guess.

as for the astina ... there is a Microtec, oil cooler, intercooler, cams and cam gears all sitting in the garage that need installing. probably should paint the poor thing too .. :p

all I can say is not a real UTE.
But alot more comfortable to drive then the rest that's to IRS.

They are good buys. If your not carrying anything. over 500KG's

watch the inside tyre wear on the rear wheels. lucky small rims cheap tyres.

Nate

its really enough for what i need ... still has a 710kg payload, which will be heaps for me as a sparkie ... if i need to carry more it can tow up to 1200kg. its getting a rear camber and toe kit when it gets lowered, so the insides will be sweet, and yeah wont be going much bigger on the wheel size ... the 17's are fine for the moment.

now its time to attack the astina :D

yeah watch the rear tire wear.
my mate has a supercharged v8 and its getting to the point of having to change his tired monthly (and he only drives it on weekends!)
