hey guys
i have recently emailed a company on ebay that do the retrimmed seat covers (like what was in another recent thread for other models) and they said if i send out my seat covers that can make an exact replica, guaranteed. so i was curious if there are any other members interested in doing this?
if so it might be a little cheaper. atm i think its about 400 a set. (but i can check if there is interest)
its from a company called Ultimate Auto Trim.
so please post up if yuor interested!
thanks :)

about the other thread,

I am going to start a second buy on those.
Same thing, you send your covers, and you get an exact fitting set.;)

And the quality is very good!!! (we have recieved the first sets...)

So if you do not get enough poeple for this one, you can always still enter the second group-buy;)

the only issue i have is that i wont get my stock covers back...
and i dont really wanna give mine out and drive around without material on for months...

well, if you do it through them or me, makes no difference, still need to send your covers....

Maybe look for a second set of a wrecked one or somthing?

i dunno.
do the originals get ruined?
a BJ owner needs to sent their rear seat any way coz my rear doesnt have a fold down section...
whats a rough time frame from them being sent to getting them back?

originals will be taken appart to make templates.

I think between 4 to 8 weeks depending on how fast everybody in the group-buy would pay.

Nut say you would send a a week before placing the order, they would be gone for about 4 to 6 weeks.

About the BJ, we already have a full template, just not from the laser.;)

so its only the laser fronts you need?
am i able to get the pieces from the standards back?

I had to send my original trim away. They didnt wanna give it back lol. But i demanded them to. Although i never bothered putting it back on again cos it wuld b a real challenge and they had pretty much pulled it all apart.

02-KQ-LASR

a full set front and rear is about $500.
but its top quality and looks like a1.

So they already have the BJ template?

Any diff between BJ and BJII seats?

02-KQ-LASR
19-08-2008, 03:19 PM
no they have the american or jap version which have airbags in the front seats.

fack.

hmm so have to remove the original cloth trim and send it, in order to get the leather replacements?

02-KQ-LASR
19-08-2008, 04:59 PM
correct. but if you do you will get a discount from a group buy and also the company will pay you commission on sales of the BJ model ones every order that is made.

i might be keen... i'm a BJII-J48 (not quite sure what that means though) is there a template for mine or does that mean having my stock ones chopped up???

02-KQ-LASR
20-08-2008, 02:08 PM
only 1 person needs to get theres chopped up as the template. the others will be copied from that original

This is a silly question but how do we put the new ones on? :P

Im tempted need new seat covers and cant find any nice ones.

02-KQ-LASR

they clip onto the base of the seat. there are metal hooks that pull the material over the cushions and fit them snugly.
or you can take the covers to a trim shop and they can install them.

Is the group buy still going ahead?

Ice88
23-08-2008, 11:20 PM

Is the group buy still going ahead?

You have a bg yes? Why not email the ebay seller's and see if they dont already have the pattern for the bg's...

Ice88
24-08-2008, 11:29 PM
Im tempted but i kinda use passanger seat every week so 6-8 weeks is kinda painful.

Im gonna try stop by a wrecker and see if they have a BJ seat that i can get.

If the seat can still be used without the cloth trim then i may be tempted. 600 for front and rear is awesome IMO.

if you have seat covers its easily covered up, and no one will notice.

Cie_SP20
07-09-2008, 05:25 PM
It's the BJII you need a template for yes?????
So..... since no one else is putting thier hand up i guess I can send mine away.... I have custom made seat covers anyway so it should cover up fine. Before I 100% agree I'd like to know a better estimate at cost etc.
Does there need to be certain amount of people???
Please keep me updated.
