thought i would try and start a thread to see who's got any stories, whether they be funny/angry/other about run ins with the law...

at some point or other, everyone gets pulled over.. so who's got stories?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

ill try and get it started... i got pulled over again last night, i didn't do anything wrong, (at least i dont think so :S). So they pulled me over, blue and red lights flashing, the siren the whole shebang... So i'm wetting my pants. But it ends nicely, just before the officer made it to my door, they got called away for something more important.

So what do they do? lean out the window, tell me i can go, drop a nice big fat burnout in front of some ones house at 2AM, and take off... those new police cars are powerful!

And for a funny story. One of my mates, who is a bit of a character, freezes whenever he sees a police car. One afternoon he spotted a police car on the side of a road, and managed to drive right through the middle of a roundabout, cut a path through the bushes and plants in the middle and crack a rim against the gutter on the other side. All that, to find the police car was simply parked there... not an officer in sight!:p

my most scary one was when I made quite a bad error in judgement.

the officer pulled me over, and just screamed at me, after yelling at me, the other officer went around my whole car checking it over (lucky I make sure my mods are all legal), she then took my number down and said once she did a background check and decided what she was going to put on the ticket she would get in touch.

because it was a first offence, I got off relatively lightly, a fine, no point loss, and my car put down on the watch list :(

for the next 2 weeks I was being pulled over by every car that saw me, just to check on me.

lesson learned.

then the week after that happened I was at the local with mates, every Friday/Saturday a couple of officers come in just to check everything's alright........... oh, and what luck! it was her turn to check that night

didnt recognise me luckily.

I don't like them. End of.

I had this weirdo guy with yellow teeth staring at me outside work for like 2 hours one day. He'd already been in the office twice and I had locked the door because I was on my own. Well after 2 hours you start to get a little nervy at the fact this guy is staring at you while you work, so in the end I called the cops.

Well they did their job and moved him on but not before the fat pig (known as a cop) who was chewing his gum as loud as he possibly could (like all good American cops) told the guy that it was ME who called him. That's real smart!!!!!

Common sense = ZERO!

wow........ how stupid of him!

reminds me of an episode of Family Guy, where peter walks in on a police linup and says "i'm here to pick up my son, he's here to pick out the guy who robbed the shop, ahve you seen him? oh here's a photo, you can keep that because he wrote his address on it"

sorry, just ignore me, I watch way too much TV.

I think the funniest time that I have been pulled over by the police was when I first got my licence.

I had my licence for roughly 2 months, I was driving out of the shops and saw the red and blue flashing lights, so I was pulled over on a main road - The cop had this smug look on his face thinking he had caught someone stealing a car ( My car at the time was registered in my mothers name )

He basically asked me all of these questions about me and who the car was registered too, who owned the car, where they lived, their date of birth and any other cars that are registered in their name.

So I answered everything and then said, Do you want my mothers parents names and the cars they have? He went to his car checked it all out and then said "fine. . You can leave!" and then walked off looking pissed off.

A couple of years ago after leaving Heatcote race way from a drag test and tune day, I passed a cop on the opposite of the road, just sitting there. I wasn't speeding, and thought nothing of it until next thing I look in my rearview mirror and there is the cop behind me. There was nothing for a few seconds, then the lights flashed on, so I pulled over.
I did the usual, got my license out, got out of the car and asked how fast I was going. He replys
"you weren't speeding"
He started taking down my details on my license and asked me if I stopped in heathcote itself? I had to buy a drink, but that was it. I finally got it out of him that a car matching the description of my car had done a runner from fuel station. He then says it's not me he's looking for cause I don't match the description of the person who did the runner.
I then laughed and told him that I couldn't have stolen any fuel cause my fuel light was nearly on, cause the fuel was cheaper at the next town!

well for me

it's like this in the 80's

We had a

POLICE FORCE

in the 90's

We got a

Police Service.

Now

we have

KINDERGARDEN COPS

just my opinon and lots of old police officers I know as well.

I can't say anyting on either side due to LEGAL reasons and too many read these things but.

just to prove how stupid they are.

One night at one of them ILLIGAL events, I was just a whitness in a mates car.

They Block the road either end. HP car a SS VT- yeah this is how old it was. THe officers ocmes out - walks up to my mates BA ( yes green 1.8L dropped on 18's and them days a $500 canon- then it was cool)
but he left the keys in and door open. Now - Those Middle eastern looking guys that always turn up to cause trouble.
One of them jumpped in and unblocked the road.

His words to us were, "LISTEN UP TELL ALL YOUR MATES IF YOU DON'T STOP THIS WERE GOING TO IMPOUND, .............. OH FARK"

So then this officer is running up the road, looking for his radio - everyone scatters - except us. We were a bit well stupid and didn't care. My mate drives next to him and say - " YOU WERE SAYING officer"
In them days cops coudl still say things they can't now. So I won't repeat the Racist criminal remarks but even it was funny, and still is.

but here is one for you lot .

hat do you think a Female Cop - you have a relationship with before she was cop - Okay quick relationship, but remembers you easily.
Pulls you over, Fo nothing
now works in your HOON AREA.

What do you do.................................?

I'm not going to say anything other then, Eiher way you go it's BAD.

option 3 leave the area is a good one.

i've had a few run ins with the cops. they must have put me on the watch list for about 3-4 months at one stage cause i was getting pulled over 2-3 times a week. A couple of people on here know i work as a bartender nights, well that means going home at 1am~. so anyway i'm heading home, i've changed out of my work shirt into a normal t and i'm driving away from the pub and i get pulled over about a k up the road. anyway this cop walks up and leans down to give me a RBT (random my ass, they were waiting out side the pub). in the process he must have smelt the beer and everything from work and out came the classic line "Have you been drinking son?" (I'm a smart-ass so i'm biting my tongue to not say "Have you been eating donuts officer?"). The prick gave me 2 RTBs, checked over the entire damn car, interrogated me and then let finally me go 20min later. apparently they didnt have anywhere better to be..

They gave you two RBT's? :S. Far out. They must have been desperate to book you.

Was that before the whole drug testing thing? You could have been unluckier, two drugs tests and two RBT's lol

First off I will say that, although they are police, they are doing a job, but sometimes that can a bit hard to comprehend...

I'll start off with a pic of my old car, a 1981 Holden Gemini, what you would call a poor mans hyundai of the time :p

http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/6599/1010018ms4.jpg

I got this as a ****ter for $100 back before I started yr12, and progressed to what you see there at the end of June 03, so basically rebuilt so I would have a car for when I could get my P's.

First real incident I had in the car was getting done for speeding down the M1 at beenleigh doing 142km/h, so 32k's over. the driver got me to get out my licence blah blah, then proceeded back to the car. I thought I'd be there for a while so I jumped out and waited beside the concrete wall. While this is happening, the other officer jumps out, checks out the car, looks inside the car with his torch, gets me to pop the bonnet, and then starts to compliment me on a job well done with the presentation of teh car!:D:D I was purely stunned!! he then told me some minor things that were wrong (freying seat belts) but didnt want to book me as he said I was already in enough trouble :p.

Couple months later, a couple of my mates and I were sitting outside the Civiv centre in Ipswich here, not doing anything wrong, just parked watching the cars go past. outta nowhere comes a undercover cop car, both get out, walk towards us and ask if they our cars, in which we reply yes, then start yabbering on about some new law where you can not be more then 15metres away from your car unlocked. what made it worse was that one of the officers asked who owned the Gem, in which I replied me, stood up against the car, got his radar out & measured how far away I was!! $30 fine later, no more heard...

Only a week later, was passing through the centre of town, got directed to pull over by a police officer on the side of the road, asks me how my night was, do the whole breath test & licence check, what was a little odd was when I showed him my licence, he had a little chuckle to himself, asked how many points I had (which was none, well 1pt/1 year), then told me to go home. on the monday, the old boy gets home, asked me if I got pulled over by a large cop with a mo on saturday, which I replied yes, turns out he's best mates with my dad!!

Another side of the story which is pretty bad is that the car was black-listed in both Ipswich & the coast. within a 6month period I got pulled up 50times in total, the worst being 5 times within a 24hr period including being in a defect station for 2 hours to get nothing done to me...

Whats odd now is that I have had the astina for close to 3 years, and have never deliberately been the target of cops. Also I dont do any of the stupid **** I use to back then.

I could go on for another page but that'd just bore ya's :p

heres a funny story from my brother,
one day he was driving down wiloson rd in hoxton park in his toyota levin(blacktop 20v for those who dont know?) and it was full of pot holes so he was turning left to right to avoiid the pot holes DUH! any way the cops switch on the lights pull him over, ask him what he was doing he told them what he was doin, they giggled and gave him an RBT thinkin he was on the P%ss, when zero came up they looked in shock, my brother laughed and the female cop turned around and said "you think its funny, with your fully sick car" brother turned and said "no", they then turned as they got a more important call on the radio, and walked away and did a burn out on the road in a suburban street...so yeah quite funny.

Another time I got pulled over by the police was on a Saturday afternoon, I had just finished work 4am to 5pm - I work about 1km away from the Brisbane Air Port.

Anyways. . So I pull out of my works drive way and get pulled over by the Australian Air Force Police ( or whatever they are? )

They guy walks up to me and says "Did you just finish worK?" TO which I said "Well, Yes I did. . You just saw me drive out" he stated that it was a random breath test, so we went through all that and it was clear.

Then he decides to look over my car, in the enigne etc. . After about 15 minutes I said "Can I go yet?" and he said he had to make sure it was registered. . So after going through everything again in my previous post I was free to go after about 25minutes.

it's funny I drive like total well in QLD you have to show them that if the speed limit is 100km/h oyu do 100km/h not 80km/h in four lanes across.

in every other state I'm a mental case in a rental.
Only in Victoria have I ever been questioned.

It all depends on the situation. Here in Sydney it depends on time of day car situation - who's doing the questioning.

Example - Highway patrol - you know if they think anything is up they will look for it.

Local won't bother unless they are doing nothing.

undercover - depends on what you are doing?

I've had every time of officer and all 3 crime squads investigate me and my cars.

Had sub woofer boxes stripped out in the middle of the street. Engine number run, legality of the car checked at RTA HQ.

Most cases it's nothing, it's just an officer looking out and saying yeah

Newman you car look plain jane and is old as - No officer cares - face facts.

To most officers a BG or a BA even - most lasers etc. It's all ah just another one.

But go drive a brand new car look young add P-plates or look like a middle eastern appearance person in say The Sutherland shire. You might get a different response.

I get it all the time - soon as they seem my name address it's total attitude change.

If I shave - wear a shirt - drive the lexus - they don't ask for licence. hell I got pulled once, I drove into the RBT quickly - nothing said. Did the same thing in the Mazda - Oh it's like - you have commited a crime for doing 60 and when a guy pulls out with a sign they expect you to slow down quickly. I just eased the brakes on total control.
but 20 million questions.

It's gets easier as you get older.

make yourself a target it's an issue. Stock wheels hide 90% of problems. Stock ride hide does the same.

due to wasted court cases you do have to have reccord before they do go hard but it also helps if you have forced the PPG to appologize- things stay on the system but - they know when they are dealing with someone who will give them 3 months paper work and court case.

I live in the middle of the bush, about 100km from the closest police station, but i do a lot of work up in perth which is 800km away. I was sittin in the perth workshop and i get a call, i do the normal, "hello, Westlog, Dave speaking...oh #$%^!" dropped something :P Then i get this " hello, this is (can't remember the officers name) from the Esperance police station. i was just following up on reports that you were hooning around doing burnouts and speeding in the caravan park in Salmon Gums late thursday night."
me "well that can't be me"
police "listen we have a eye witness and we have been given your rego number"
me "well that is really odd, how would someone get my number, my car is in a shed, and has been for quite a while"
police "this is a serious offence. do you have anyone that can justify that you were not hooning around salmon gums?"
me "well actually i've been stuck working in perth for the last 2 months, and my car is in my mechanics shed, it currently has no exhaust, battery, or drivers seat, so unless i flew down fixed my car, hooned around and then flew back it wasn't me."
police "ok well thank you for clearing that up"
that was it, didn't need proof or anything, but i was actually in perth so i'm stumped how someone got my plate number

that's the problem with the "dob a hoon" laws.

they dont do anything, there is no evidence apart from some person saying "you did X on my street", all you need is to say no, and there... it's just 2 people arguing with no proof either way.

as long as they dont film it....... if they do, you're screwed.

Another one that cops react oddly
Im a geophysical borehole logger (sounds harder then it is), my work car is a 100 series landcruiser with a trade mate on the back, and part of the job is that the car sits and idles for up to 4 hours at a time, so naturally being diesel it blacks up the back door with the exhaust smoke. 1 part of my jobs is using density and neutron probes, so i have to carry radioactive sources in the back and have the stickers all over the car.
So im driving back from the bush and just get onto tonkin highway in Perth, and i see the flashing so i pull over. Cops come out and i say, "i can't of been speeding, this thing drives like a truck" then they say they are gonna defect me to go over the pits to have an emitions test. So i have to go thru and explain that its the car idleing and explain my job, finally they say its ok and then they say there is another problem, "do you know it is an offence to display radiation sticks unless you are carring radioactive material"
then i had to say "well no that is wrong because im an RSO (radiation safety officer) and i've never heard anything about that, and secondly (i open the back) there are my 2 radioactive sources, a 7.4GBq Cs source and a 34GBq AmBr neutron source" I have never seen 2 cops cover there nads and walk back to there car so quickly hahaha

But i wasn't hoonin at the caravan park...It's the old abandoned quarry that has a lil race track built on it, perfect for practicing :P and every1 comes to the quarry to race around it, doesn't hurt any1. I would never hoon around on the street and always stay 5 below the speed limit

Its new years eve and im delivering pizzas in in a bright pink car with Eagle Boys stamped all over it.

Im driving along Brisbane Road to deliver pizzas to some unit complex (Zanzibar IIRC) and the cops pull me over for a RBT. I get asked if this my car at which point i felt like saying sure cause what we all want for our first car is a bright pink car with eagle boys all over it. (I had pizza bags stacked to the head rest high). In the end i said no office, he asks what im doing driving at this hour (9PM) im delivery pizza *points to bags* hes like ohh. So been drinking tonight at all? me: i dont drink ever, gives me RBT. Then on the way out another cop stops me and we go through the whole thing again.

20 mins later im driving past deliverying another load of pizzas and the same cop pulls me over and asks the same questions.

Thats my most interesting slash frustrating incident. My other two run ins (RBT setup things, like Brunswick Street on the way outta the Valley) have all be top people and nice. :)

i always deserve getting pulled over, but here's a lucky tale. before the astina i had an ED XR6 falcon. it was bloody awesome and thanks to the manual trans and illegal exhaust it would crackle and bang on the run down like a v8 supercar. so i've just picked up 2 mates and about 200m from his house is a train station, which means those big wooden wall things alongside a long strech of road. i go smashing along the road up to about 80-90 in a 50 zone with my zorst reverberating off this huge wall and making an insane racket.

i'll digress here to say we tested the noise with a professional meter and by police standards and it got 124db. so take that number in and most should know even a toddler would say its illegal.

anyway, smashing along, get up to about 80-90 then back off and brake for a give way. just as i'm about to go i hear the sirens and see cops 50m back. they jam up my ass until i pull over just down the road and its a young guy and even younger girl. both seemed like rookies.

the girl starts asking me what speed i was doing to which i reply "i prefer to watch the road ma'am". she keeps pushing me trying to get me to admit fault, but gives up after the 3rd or 4th time i explain that watching the gauges doesn't mean **** if i nail someone in the subrubs. meanwhile the young bloke is going all round the car, checking everything he can.

after 20 minutes they let me go with a warning. they could have done me for the following bloody obvious defects. too low, wheels too big [15" -> 18" is illegal], small steering wheel, gauges in head crash area, and oh yeh THE JET ENGINE VOLUME EXHAUST SYSTEM! thank christ they were noobs.

Ha!

I've been through a few RBTs with no dramas, no real issues with the cops so far. The funniest was when I got breath tested during my Ps test! The cops pissed themselves laughing, and I remember one of them saying "I knew we'd get one some day!" I even had to get my license back from the learning instructor so I could hand it to them.

Not long after getting my GTR I was driving around on a weekend, waiting at the redlights on some main rd going onto a sidestreet. While waiting a cop on a motorcycle went past going the opposite direction, I thought nothing of it.

So turn onto sidestreet & driving along, not particularly fast but the atmo BOV did make some sound. Very soon after I had to turn into a driveway & as I slowed down I looked into the rear view mirror & the motorcycle cop that I saw earlier was right behind me! he just continued on as I pulled in. He musta did a u-turn just to follow me.

Luckily for me the driveway I was going into was my local mechanic workshop & ironically the reason I was there was to get a plumbback BOV put in :D

If I had kept on driving I would of been pulled over & defected for sure.

On a seperate occasion on the same two lane main rd, when going over the overpass hill there was a RBT station setup right after taking up one lane so everyone had to go into the one only free lane & they were picking which cars to go into the RBT lane which looked to be every car that was going past. The station couldn't be seen before the overpass either, only right after going over the top & then down it..

So as I was going down there was a Subaru Forester on the side of the overpass waiting to merge onto the main rd, so as I had already slowed down a lot I waved him to merge in front me. Well the guy got pulled over into the station & I thought "oh here we go, the GTR is gonna get a checking over for sure" & I had my indicator on ready to go into the station but the Subaru was the car that filled up the station completely so no more cars could go in & one of the cops waved me to keep going past so I did

So glad I decided not to put the Holden Calibra 4WD Turbo in it's place that was behind me..

my folks had a visit from the cops at 1am this mrning. Apparently sumone had done a runner with petrol in a car with the registration plate of my old car. Dad explained to them that we had handed in the plates to vicroads months ago. Was weird as cos they said it was a dark coloured mazda and all. looks like sumones stolen my cars former identity lol

hahaha well this is interesting..
tonight i got a speeding ticket for 72km/h in a 50 zone...
story is i was going up mt cootha to the lookout, and by my speedo i was doing 60, by gps i was doing 55... and whoop there are these two cops that jumped out and waved me and two more cars down..
the officer asked me was i aware i was doing 72 in a 50 zone... i laughed out loud, literaly and said i was only doing 60. oooh so you were speeding, he said. well yes but not 72, thinking in my head that if i was doing 72, my speedo would say near 80 haha... rediculus..
sooooo he tells me that i was doing 72, the person behind me was doing 60 and person behind him was doin 75... i just realised that they only had two speed guns so how does that work :S anyway its 4 points and $333 and i will be contesting this in court cus its just rediculus.. i just regret not checking the time on the speed gun, cus every speed is time/date stamped, i just forgot in the moment :( ugh its frustrating :(

oh i forgot.. on the way down the mountain the cops caused a very nice (well was) silver or gray 32 skyline i beleive (might of been a 200 it wasnt recognisible from where i was) to have a accident with another car that was already cleared by the time i came.. serius they shouldnt hide in bushes n jump out like that its a discrace

sorry to drag this along but does anyone know are speeding tickets handled by magistrates court?

Good luck in court tony, although i do think you have a slim chance of winning your battle, seeing you admitted to speeding. Speeding fines must have went up, as when I got done for 142km/h down the M1 some 4 years ago, it was 6pts & $350 fine...

I have an intresting one for ya's and it involves a few peeps from here that have the same item I have...

driving along Brisbane rd in Newtown (ipswich), police had the road blocked off due to a rather big acco (at 9pm on a sunday night I might add). Anyways I was diverted to a street off the main road, and just before I took off, was forced to the side of the road.

Reason being was due to the parker bulbs I had installed, which are infact a set of T10 LED bulbs I got from Applio off here. I told the officer that they were LED's, and ADR compliant, as to the ebay notice. He let me go, simply on the fact that they were not those cheap coloured bulbs you can get from autobarn...

Cheers
marc

thanks marc i need all the luck i can get, seeing that i doubt that they will beleive me, in their eyes im just a 21year old kid who is trying to be cockie and get out of a fine... i mean i wish that lie detectors were applicable in QLD :( does anyone know what are court fees. i will find all this out when i call them, but im just obbsesing about it now cus its really not fair.. i mean ok fair enough if i was actually doing 72 or even 70, but i was doing 60, and this is a real kick in the nuts :(

i had a look on QLD transport site and fines now are as follows

Less than 13 kilometres per hour (km/h) over the speed limit:
A$133 + one demerit point.

At least 13 km/h but not more than 20 km/h over the speed limit:
A$200 + three demerit points.

More than 20 km/h but not more than 30 km/h over the speed limit:
A$333 + four demerit points.

More than 30 km/h but not more than 40 km/h over the speed limit:
A$466 + six demerit points.

More than 40 km/h over the speed limit:
A$933 + eight demerit points and six month suspension.

and there are double penalites for repeat offenders as per this page (http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/Home/Safety/Road/Speeding/Speeding_fines_and_demerit_points)

uuuugh now i cant sleep, great start weekend.. my rego is due, i need new tires REALLY soon and i just lost my job :'(

i really wish everyone better luck than what i am having at the moment :(
Tony

SORRY TO DRAG THIS ALONG but does anyone know are speeding tickets handled by magistrates courts, and are there any charges :(
Thank you all in advance, Tony

so tonight i got the fright of my life. my mate rang me and asked if i could give him a lift, so i went to drive him the <20 mins drive to get him home, within 5 minutes from his house, i got stuck between a few cars, and when a big enough gap opened up i gave it some and weaved my way though. for those in this area, it was on quakers parkway (70km/h zone), hit 5th gear at around 95-100 and then looked in the mirror and sure enough, an unmarked cop was flashing me down :(. pulled over and and both police officers did 2 laps around my car before even coming and talking to me, and when they finally did, they werent very happy. in their words they said i was exceeding 100 km/h :( which for a P plater like myself would mean instant loss of license. they went back to the car and did the check up. after about 5 minutes came back and said "its your lucky night Scott. just behave next time, its not worth losing your license". so tonight was one of the luckiest nights of my life, im still shaking :S

your lucky mate.

today i got pulled over by 1 of those random road side checks(i think coz of my lazy eyes)sat there of 15min and all they said was "tighten ur hand break fix the globe for the rear number plate and just gave me a warning (i really think they didnt have anything on me)but lmao!!!
i had to ask this question coz i really wanted to know n now was a good time to ask, so i ask the cop"can i tint or spray a can of nightshade on my rear lights" and the answer was "no" unless it came from the factory floor (car dealer)so thats the end of that idea!

maybe i was pulled over coz i was black (have u seen a black cop?)not in vic i havent!

Aww come on guys no need to hate on the poor guys and girls that actually are in the job though, You do have to think what they go through as well so try not to make it personal.

As far as its really concerned, everyone should know the road rules since thats a signed declaration on your drivers license, at least in NSW, so there should be no complaints when you get done for something illegal, take it on the chin and move on UNLESS it really is a mistake or something worse.

Ive had plenty of stuff in the past as well, defected, tickets for stuff on my car not being to road standards, not displaying P Plates, all however my fault, just crappy when you get a ticket for bald tyres when your a red-p plater in highschool with no job :) - retreads FTW

um if you got defected for a bald tyre thats right you should have, if i was a cop id impound the car with bald tires, not only are you putting your life in danger but everyone elses.. tyres are the only thing keeping your 1200kgs under controll...
as for factory tinting(95% light transitance for most cases) which AFAIK was not a option on the BGs, you cant get done for it because its within standards. maximum is 70% light transmitance (30% tint) and thats still road worthy. if they just said its too dark and they gave you a tiket well thats your fault for agreeing with it.. you should of chalenged them on the spot about it and asked for a proper light reading.. australian guide lines are there for a reason and if you want to drive on these roads you should follow them. 30% is thre so you can still see out your side windown at night and not take out a bike...

i was talking to 40rgd, sorry if it seemd like to you chris
man there are so many cars in brisbane that are undercover, they realised that NOONE runs from police so pretty much anything around here is/can be undercover, and just because it has a body kit and a massive exhaust dosnt mean it isnt undercover;)

no one in cars that is.. street bikes are a completely different matter.

cars i've been pulled up by:
- honda accord
- sportivo
- holden ss with kit + big rims

the holden was pretty obvious, no tinting and cops in uniform!

hi guys, just thought i'd share a story or two of mine,

One sunday morning on the way to work at around 6.30 am i was just cruising along half asleep as u do on a sunday morning, doing exactly the speed limit, i saw a police car head back the other way, i thought nothing of it as i didnt do anything wrong, anyway i saw it disappear in my rear view mirror and i kept travelling on.

About 2 minutes later and another couple of km's up the road the same car comes flying back up behind me with lights and sirens on. i pulled over absolutely sh*tting myself because my car had a BOV, front mount, lowered, bodykit, 18's and that sorta stuff. anyway the cop comes up to my window and asks me what kinda car it is so i just said 1995 323, his response was, "ok cool, you've done a good job, i just wanted to get a closer look, i couldn't figure out what it was".

I was completely dumbfounded! he was the nicest guy and i couldnt beleive i was stopped just for that!

Can't stand em. I am living in Melb, way south that's for sure! The Blessed Boys hang around waiting to pick some poor bastard up when he passes a 50kph sign, (perhaps a good citizen who is fcol, doing 4kph over for 2 sec) conveniently placed mind you, just after a 70kph sign. Fact is, I personally read the leak-out in paper down here that the Honerable Pemier Pomp has instructed his Beloved Boys to go out & get revenue so his State projects get paid for! Yes, I am simply repeating what was leaked ut to the Tabloids!!!

Sorry, no sence of humour @ all for the way we are treated as criminals as soon as you get behind the wheel, no warnings, just give you a fine!

I make damn sure I stick right under the speed limit these days, I aint giving away anymore of my hard-earned cash to the State cause I took my eye off the speedop for 100th sec to actually look @ the road ahead, & "...oh dear Martha, I'm doing 104kph instead of 100!, I will definately be going to hell for sure now..." PO - "Oh you evil, law-breaking, rebelious, turd of a citizen. How dare you,,,,er,,,,"what was that you say, you need us for real help?,,,,hahahahaha"

Get the point!

LOL that cop probably is teasing you at the same time. I'm pretty sure he knows you are ****ting yourself when he was aftering you. lol

na he was actually a really nice guy, he was having abit of a joke and he wasnt trying to intimidate me at all, he was probably in his early 20's.

I've been lucky that all of my run ins with the Police have been suprisingly good, each officer that i have spoken to has been really nice and they havent been pushy, which is suprising because I drive a mazda with alot of easily visible mods.

i have always beleived that if you treat them with respect they will return an equal amount of respect, its only when you start trying to outsmart them or lie to them then they will start to react to that. i think alot of it is up to the driver's attitude more than anything. thats my 2c!
