Yeah they are my second choice.

Shannons - $1800 and will insure anything RTA approved
Just Cars - $2500 same again

ouch!

is that with the turbo? insure your car without, then add the turbo to the police later, it works out cheaper with JC that way

I tried Shannons, but u have to be Over 25 to be insured with them

That is without turbo and they didnt mention any age restrictions when I spoke to them. Just to clarify some background to warrant the high price

- First policy held in my name
- Under 25
- Modified Car

simmer for 10mins and you have an instant 2K policy.

i have a vague recollection that they didnt want to cover me for the same reason, theo

but then again, that was back when i bought it...i think. or maybe after the suspension mods

Shannons were pretty good, didnt really care what was on the car as long as it is legal. No changes in policy price for further modifications. I was quite surprised but I will check the policy document he sends out before signing up.

Prob my choice in insurance atm...

Shannons can be good to talk to - I tried insuring the Renault with them but they really couldn't compete with AAMI.

You could try Vigils? Dawesd Underwriting or something?

AAMI wont insure turbo unless its a factory aussie car... They say goto Just Cars :)

The other lesser known mobs either have a over 25 requirment or wont touch the car.

Shannons quoted me $1100 3rd party property unmodified $1300 modified (note this is no fancy 'new' astina we're talking here, but ye olde 323
Justcars said $500 odd 3rd party property unlimited mods with $20 premium increase "per modification"

Those quotes were probably over a year ago now...with no age or other restritions mentioned.

GIO doesnt like mods at all, they are tight arses  I was with suncorp for a while and they were great with just a few mods, but when i told them i got a bodykit they didnt want to insure me anymore, cause i went over the modification limit
