heyo, does anyone here have a steering wheel puller that could be used for about 30 minuites? or know of how much they cost at repco/supercheap/autopro?
ive realised how STUCK on the OEM wheels are... and i dont unfortunatly have much cash left. well no disposable cash left at all till next pay.
im around the campbelltown region of NSW.

if u have a brass drift hit the shaft wit it a few times, alternatively tap the wheel towards u, but yea they are a fukn bitch to take off

I think my gear puller cost about $20 from supercheap, it turned an hours worth of banging with a hammer into a thirty second job.
Even the stickiest wheel I've been able to remove without a puller. Put your hands at 3 and 9 o'clock sharply jerk with the left while pushing with your right then the other way. If you need to do it more than four of five times then you'll need a puller.
Remember to align the signal canceler properly before putting the new wheel on :o

dont worry, i definatly need a puller, "violently" shaking the wheel did nothing, then a rubber mallet for 2 minuites while pulling did nothing even with wd-40.
next paycheque unless someone has one will be the puller time.
damn stock things.

Bring it to me I definatly get it off - I pulled a 1983 626 wheel off that was never going to come off BUt it did.
Try this first WD 40 soak it spray it every hour 3 times - leave it over night.
Put nut back on top thread untill nylock grabs.
Now dystroy the wheel - Hand rthe **** off it. in the seat up down sideways - use all your body weight.
IT WILL COME OFF.
Normal bearing puller does it but I've never had to go that far.

this bit is probably the most important, unless you enjoy having a broken nose.

haha
heh ... it's fun trying to get steering wheels off ... and yes, I have resorted to a bearing puller ... several times.
If you happen to know anyone doing a mechanical apprenticeship, you should be able to borrow the they made during the metalworking part of it ... I know we used my brother's. Use that, and you know you won't be at any risk of stuffing something up by wrenching the wheel.
