I was looking for turtles in Australia but seems that as MM said, permits are required? Was thinking of getting a star turtle/tortoise (Whats' the diff?)

turtle/tortise on lives on land other is amphibius (webbed feet/wings vs stumps) n i 4get what the
permit is i think 50 for 5 years its just a reptile permit so its same for snakes turtles etc
i used to havea turtle but it kinda ran away LOL i let it out of the tank to "run" around the back yard n i went inside to make coffee when i came back out she was gone :(

I'm pretty sure that it all falls under the "Recreational Wild Life Licence" you can have snakes, turtles and frogs under that licence. I have one for my 10 Pythons.

When i was in china, you could buy turtles off the street, from babies to grown-ups. Not for pets i would assume :D
