View Full Version : I might be moving to Sydney!

Noticed a lot of you guys live in/around Sydney and I'm hoping for some quick advice. I've been offered a job - it's in Woollahra just east of the CBD but I obviously need to look for a place to live which is kinda difficult from here. As anywhere within a 50k radius of the CBD is hugely expensive to rent can anyone recommend/suggest a reasonable area at a reasonable rent ie: say $200p/w? :?

The biggest setback in all of this tho is that I'll have to sell my Stina as this job already has a car - DAMN! Stina/job...job/Stina...oh the pain :cry:

If u want somewhere cheap, check out the TNT Mag boards. Lots of good stuff pricewise as meant for young overseas travellers. Includes long term stuff tho.

Otherwise, places are expensive. Apartments in North Sydney can be had for $250 for a studio upwards, but other than that, haven't really looked sorry.

Congrats on the job! Don't sell the Stina!!!! You know you'll regret it, unless the company car is.......an RX-8! In terms of rental, I've been looking around for rental here, everything in central Sydney is fricken expensive. Try this to search for properties and to get an idea of rental prices:

yeah - gotta keep stina somehow. Unfortunately the car they're offering is a commode so that's gonna be as boring as batsh*t.

Good advice about not moving too far out tho - I haven't a clue but judging by rent prices I'll be living out bloody Parramatta way to get something 1/2 decent (bugger that)!!!

Hey you might have to reconsider of moving to sydney, coz all the gang bang down here are going nuts with drive by shooting. anyhow for 200/wk you can get a place near mascot or somewhere along that train line (from mascot / petersham). best of luck

hehe my dads side of the family are all from tasmania. they range from wanted criminals to drug dealers to cross dressers im not ****ting u either! ehehehe fortunatley i have nothing todo with them and theres a big assed stretch of water keeping them at bay :):)
