it's interesting seeing the results of mates - comparing the designers to everyone else

Dr Karl on Triple J one day said that females have 1 more colour receptor than male counterparts.. Hence the reason why the age old argument that apricot is not a colour, it's a fruit..

I'm sure you'd be able to find the fact somewhere on JJJ's or Dr Karl's website..

31 but I've known for years that I had some difficulty with telling the differenc between browns and oranges.
Probably a good thing I'm not a graphic designer.

I scored 8.. there were 4 in both the blue/greens and the purples that i got wrong, but they must have been with 1 or 2 of each other.. Plus I had a couple of beers under the belt at the time..

Hmmm, using a 3x6bit TFN LCD monitor won't help peeps much. You really need a CRT or expensive LCD with 3x8bit colour to make things fair on yourself.

I got 11. I'm happy with that.

Green is good , Red is bad :)
Code is black, background is white.

The problem also lies the difference between and quality of people's screen - as well as how much time they spend distinguishing colors in everyday life.
I agree you will have good color discernation (word?) but I imagine Rupe you would have a good quality screen and calibrated it fairly well.
Mine is still on the factory settings.

Yeah, i've got a 5 year old Apple 23" widescreen at work, so i imagine it'd still be decent for quality. I think i adjusted it for black and white when i started using it a few years ago, but other than that i don't think it's ever been calibrated. I might try it with the 17" BenQ thing i'm using at home.

Nah, still perfect with the 17". And i don't think i've ever calibrated this one!

I'm shooked with my results

I'm actually - been told a million times I'm colour blind- I don't arguee.

My eyes' ain't perfect - plus I flashed myself tonight welding some stuff. so I still have some spots.

but I got 3 - YEAH 3. for my age 0 ultimate.
but considering I'm using a 98cm LCD screen - it might have helpped.
but I'm naturally blind to colour.
Even at work I get funny names of colours for products - Like WATERMELLON - it's colour now ?
I don't see differences. Blue is blue to me it's dark light or BLUE that's it.
Red is either Dark - Maroon - or bright red - Pink is pink or it's Just not on. LOL

screens would have an affect, but I dont think as much as people say.

I used a crappy CRT monitor that's blurry, cant do black properly, and is fairly old (I think over 5yrs)
