Just flicking through the new issue of Autosalon magazine [#14] and came across an advertisement for a brand of car audio called CADENCE.. Just wondering if there is any personal opinion of this brand. I also noticed it at JB Hi-Fi one day when I was with Boyd in Preston..

Our Audio guru's Dave or Chris could lend some insight?? I understand if you haven't auditioned their products..

ive heard a little of their stuff. it seems JB-HiFi has made this their brand of the month of something coz they seem to have heaps in their stores.

ummmm hard to tell without really hearing them properly. ( i dont like going on other ppls opinions as im sure u know ) but I think they're not tooo bad. They have a 5" split system mounted on a 5x7 bracket if anyone's interested :?

i suppose i'd throw them in with the mid-level stuff but i cant really be sure. Im going to JB on the wkend so i might have a listen. u've made me curious ;)

Not sure what their prices are like, but if its in the bracket im thinking, i'd possibly choose something like infinity rather. the only mainstream store ive seen that brand in tho is HiFi Supermarket in Ringwood. Best 6x9s on the board. and an 8" coax that i wished i could've had a listen to

i think i saw some cadence speakers advertised as 'electroluminescent', which i would think meant they would light up. never saw any connections for it tho, or saw any light coming from them :?

Cadence makes pretty decent stuff but like most car audio brands, they have products that range from entry-level to high end competition gear. Personally I'm not a big fan of bright orange or purple speakers and amps, but if you want a showy and loud install, then you can't go far wrong with Cadence.

Yeah, Cadence is not bad stuff.

Scott Neill who built the white Excel at the Auto Expo is an old buddy of mine and he is happy with their stuff (and not biased by working for Zylux.....).

It is probably as good as anything at the $$ asked...if orange is your colour.....

I could put you on to Scott for some inside info on what's hot and what's not if you like.
