Just a waring to all you ppl out there who have big wheels !
I was driving on a crappy narrow unmarked road near beechmont inland from the goldcoast on the weekend. An oncomming car decided that they deserved more of the road than I did and forced me onto the edge of the bitumen. then.......... BAM !!!
Both myself and the passenger got shivers from the impact of the passenger side tyre hitting a gap in the edge of the road. On the way back to brizzy the car cad a slight but noticable wobble in the wheel at around the 120km/h mark which wasn't there on the way down.
When i got home i checked if any of the weights had come a'drift... nup....
Off to beaurepairs for a ballance and rotation and found that the front left was slightly out of round :( . Not a problem now coz it's on the rear for the moment but a bit of a bummer none the less.......
Oh yeah, keep up ur pressure ppl ! mine were at 32 psi all round and i was getting underinflated wear patterns on the front. So keep the fronts at 36 psi or more and about 34 in the rear! (that's what he told me for 215/40 R17 anyway)...
I will have to get it straightened eventually but just thought i'd let u all know of my misery...
adios ppl
