I was out and about and set up my camera to get a nice evening photo of a random street corner.

Purely by chance, in the middle of the exposure, two cars came flying up the road.

Just as they drove into the shot I started thinking 'damn, there goes that shot'...
Thats when it went strange.

1/2 way through the frame, the 2nd car turned on a siren and lights?!?!

It turned out that he was a cop and ended up taking the driver of the first car away for drunk driving!!!

What I though was going to be a ruined photo turned out quite cool!!! 8)

What shutter speed was that?

From memory I was using...
Shutter Speed - 8sec
Iris - F2.8

I might have been using as high as 15sec, but I think it was the 15sec that were a little over exposed???

The original is quite a bit clearer (ie the sky is black. grass is greener etc) but I lost alot of colour when I chopped it down to 16K for the web (and was to lazy to recorrect it)

I have some more of the cop car parked up behind the drunk driver as well - will put them up if anyone wants a look.

you can do shots like that with ya digital cameras, usually they all take aand leave the shutter open for TOO Long and in the dark it looks pretty cool

ive got a heaps good shot of looking down on two trains goin past each other and i was on thebirdge above them n it looks pretty sweeeet

ive taken shots liek that with a digital camera, they rnt as good as a SLR, u just cant change the shutter speed and the exposure on a digital.

here a few examples of ones taken on a digi cam , this is the longest i can keep the shutter open 2 :(
