OK.. we need to have a show of hands to know who's going so we can pre-book the tickets.. unless ppl just want to get them on the day..

I know I'm going.. pretty sure Rod is too.. I asked Daniel on Friday and he said he'd be able to make it.. Mike, do that thing you do and update the list of people coming :D I asked Cityend on irc as well and he said he should be right to come..

I guess we also need to know if tickets are available for purchase on the day...

Depending on the cost of this excercise I may be getting the ferry across from Queenscliff to get to Philip Island in the morning.. but obviously will cruise back around the port for the trip back home in the arvo

I think it's about $30 to get across the bay on the ferry. :?

Might see if Jeremy [Dutchy] can come too.. I shall speak to him this weekend..

AP

Mikey, you might want to put the actual eastern suburbs 'pre-meet' and cranbourne meeting points in the first post.

Is everybody in the east happy with the burvale?

I should come to this cruise, well at least I'll be at the Eastern Suburbs meet if I'm not rostered to work that day.

Btw, is the Eastern Suburbs meet at the location near Mulgrave/Springvale Road,
or at the Burvale which Kyras mentioned? Mike can you clarify this? :?

Apparition... it is on the corner of Springvale Rd and Police Rd... right guys?

As mentioned, we will be leaving at 10am SHARP! I'm not fussed if you rock up at 9.59, as long as we are on the way out by 10, we will be on track.

Mikey, can you put actual street names down as well as melways page refs. I like to know what road I am travelling on.

Also, can you please send me the itinerary when done so I can print them out.

Cheers,
Bill

Village green is on the corner of Springvale and Ferntree Gully Rds (Map 71 B,8 ). Police Rd intersects Springvale Rd at Princess Hwy (Map 80 A,5).
You could split the difference and meet at Maccas on the corner of Springvale and Wellington Rds (Map 71 B,12)/(Map 80 B,1) so early comers can get breakfast. It's all much of a muchness as I'll be seeing you in Cranbourne.

Don't forget to keep to the left after Heatherton Rd and follow the old freeway towards Hastings and not the new bypass or you'll end up in Pakenham, not that there is anything wrong with Pakenham.

Rod

Dogo
24-11-2003, 08:26 AM
we could be patriotic and meet outside G&W Smith Mazda on springvale rd too. its on the service rd, abt 100m from maccas from what i remember.

or maybe we could meet at a carwash and give the cars a quick shine before we go ?

kyra
24-11-2003, 10:52 AM
 my bad!

Any of the above mentioned places is fine. I am thinking GWS Mazda or Maccas would be easier for everybody to spot, can eat breakie there too. Everybody seems to know the area better than myself, so I'm happy to meet up in the GWS/Maccas area.

Sorry for the stuffing around guys!

Mikey,

Can you please change the east meet point to Gayry & Warren Smith Mazda on Springvale road. It is in the service road just up from Maccas on the corner of Springvale and Wellington Rds (Map 71 B,12)/(Map 80 B,1) (thanks Rod!)

Time remains at 10am departure.

This seems to be ok with everyone, so we shall make it final.

Thanks,
Bill

It's actually Gary & Warren Smith, but I think they are Gay, so let it stick.

Tenks,

I'll be there in spirit boys...

...as tomorrow i'm going to go back to the exhaust place, tell them to shove the FREAKEN LOUD MUFFLER up their arses as it's not quieter and get them to put a stock bog standard muffler on so I don't have to put up with the stupid drone noise whilst cruising at 110km/h AS I STILL WANT TO BE ABEL TO HEAR when I get to my destination! I'm going to say to them that it's not going to cost me a cent as it's already cost me extra to put a second ressie on to REDUCE the noise.. Sure it's quieter at lower speeds but once at highway cruising speeds it's a very uncomfortable drone that I have to put up with. Just this afternoon I took it for a 20 minute run at 110km'h to test whether I could stand the noise all the way down to Phillip Island.. When I got back home my head was throbing. NOT HAPPY JAN!! But seeing as there isn't a muffler around that's not performance/sports with one in two out I am going to have to modify my rear end appearance slightly.. Should still look the goods though..

/END rant!
