Heya all,
Does anyone know the actual laws regarding grey imports? I'm looking at buying a track car with my mate and we found a '93 Celica GTR (our SX with GT4 seats and 4 wheel steering) for $4000. Rally/ race rego only as not complianced. Now, this would be crap on the track, but what i want to know is can i straight import a 180SX/ R32 GTS/ S13 /S14/MX5 for the few thousand they cost to buy in Japan (+shipping costs of about $900) if i am using track only? I know there is a law regarding only allowing 1 car to be imported per person for track use at a time, and that u used to have to have a race licence, but not sure on details. Any help appreciated.
