View Full Version : Will Mazda6 rims fit on an SP20?
As the topic states, I'm looking at filling out the guards a bit more on my SP20 but want to keep them Mazda-branded so I don't draw any undue attention. So does anyone know if Mazda6 rims will fit straight on?

Best to find a Mazda wreckers who has them and ask to see how they look on your car. Knowing Mazda you have a 80/20 chance (In your favour) that they will fit.
Benifit of this is you check the fit, see them on your car and get a price on them all in the one place.

Failing that take a 6 for a test drive and trial fit them on your car. You will have your questions answered and the test car can be returned in original condition.

or just ask mazda what the offsets are for both cars, and you should be right
that is very interesting... let us know how you go Zed? I can't imagine the offsets to be very different.

do the mazda centrecpas come out???
another option could be getting something aftermarket that blends well with the car then swap over your centrecaps
Nope, the Mazda centrecaps don't come out so that's not an option.
Unfortunately, just found out the Mazda6's rims rolling diameter is too big (+24mm) so that option is a no go. Does anyone what's the biggest tyre size that will safely fit onto the stock rim (16x6.0)? Will 205/50s fit (assuming they're available)?

with what size tyre? as that can't be right. i refuse to believe that, in fact!
a 17" rim is a 17" rim is a 17" rim etc etc
i reckon they told you the overall size including the standard tyres which probably have a 60 series sidewall on them as opposed to your car which would probably need a 40 series (or similar)
you'll probably have to go to a smaller sidewall tyre to keep your speedo accurate, but thats all.
Sorry, should have said that was with the stock Mazda6 tyre which is a 215/45. The stock 17" rims would probably fit but yeah it would need different tyres (215/40 or 205/40). Was just trying to see if I could do a straight swap with the Mazda6 stockies.
