well i can personally say that i own two M500's and they punch my two 1500W 15's way beyond original expectations... highly recommend the purchase.... pure digital cleared base, like never before... at that price too id be laughing... still hurts thinking how much my two were with the digital hand controler

the first one is a mono anp. it only has 1 channel and is pretty much used exclusively used for subwoofers

the other one is a 4/3/2 channel amp , so it can do 4 channels ( Front L&R, Rear L&R ) or the 3/2 means u can turn 2 into 1 for a bit more power, and therefore have 3 or 2 channels.

They're nice amps but require pretty good speakers or its not worth the $

well i orginally wanted an amp just for a sub, but lately i noticed the front is pretty weak and the sound stage is to the back.

so the 4/3/2 channel amp sound right for me. to power the front speakers and a sub

i have clarion 5x7s at the front, and planing to get an alpine 12" type R sub. would that be alright?

btw, which one r u interested in dave? if u don't mind me asking?

Th 4/3/2 will still power your front stage and a sub, the monoblock is just more suited to the subs.

Dave - PM response sent
Jynx - PM sent about monoblock
