if you're mostly after handling kyb's and kings superlows will give you the really low look but won't be as street friendly as an eibach/kyb setup (rougher, scrape & scrub)

so your saying i should go with the eibach's and the kyb combo to get a really low look but also with good handling?

and that going with kings and kyb's will give me the look but a harsher ride?

cheers.

p/s sorry if i sound noob

Sorry to hijack thread, I've recently gotten my shocks as weell - going eibach/tokico.

My question is, with new springs and struts, is there anything cheap I shold replace while doing this change, such as bushes, or anything else?

I'm not familiar with the process, but are there are things that I have to 'keep' when changing the springs/shocks?

If your bushes squeak or are visibly degraded then yes, get them done at the same time. If not, no need to worry about it.

eibachs will not give you a really low look. kings super lows are the way to go there

the thing is i want it to look low, but i dont want the rubbing, scraping, scrubbing. i know that might not be possible but i want to minimise all that as much as possible, but still have the low look.

i guess kings and kybs are the way to go?

and just roll my guards to go with it?

if you want it to look low, get oversized tyres. thats what happend to me, the new tyres lifed the car up just enough so it doesnt scrpae nearly anywhere, but because they filled the guards more it looks lower, even though its higher and more practical now :D

Changing to oversize tyres would cause the tyres to rotate at a slightly slower speed relative to vehicle speed than the stock tyres.Though the difference isn't much, it may be enough to upset the calibration of the ABS (if u have ABS)

I think the consensus on that one is "no".

would kings superlows for my BJ have a crap effect?

(scrubbing, bad ride quality / handling etc)

i was thinking about buying a set, but then i was just thinking about just getting lows.

I'm not a fan of the King lows, I can't imagine what superlows would be like. As it is a lot of ppl get "tuck" on their back tyres with just lows. Superlows would prolly see your rims getting tucked in too. Eibachs without question are the best, but they are expensive. Lovells might be ok?

About 40mm with the Eibachs from memory

how low is that compared to king superlows?

lows = 25mm-40mm-ish
superlows = 40-50mm-ish

hmm..i should scrap the thought of getting superlows aye..maybe eibachs are the way to go? 40mm is a fair drop isnt it?

Too late for me my suspension is squeeky after getting my struts replaced :(
