Yo Southerners,
Just wondering how the toll roads work for visitors? Thinking of a future driving holiday idea. But unsure of who the tolls work in different states. Or being out of state driver, do I just get ignored having QLD plates on my vechicle?
Cheers,
Ryan

Just checked the Citylink/Eastlink sites for Vic. I'll get a Melbourne Pass for travel in Victora. I'll have to check still for NSW.

When I bought the 180 from NSW, everyone told me the toll roads were all EToll, but when I went through them, there were still cash stations...?...
I think the only all EToll depot is on the new Highway down there..

4 of 11 in nsw accept cash. dunno about vic.
most of the Sydney tolls close to the city are going casshless like Lane cove tunnel, harbour bridge/tunnel, eastern distributor etc. i think some still have cash booths though

None of the Vic ones are cash. But the Vic toll tags supposedly work in NSW, but last time i used the toll roads there my tag didn't beep and i got a letter sent to me anyway
In vic Citilink daypasses can be pretty much purchases from any post office or newsagent when i use to live there whenever mum used her car on it we just picked up a day pass, you can also ring up or pay online up to like 2 weeks later otherwise you will get a fine sent to the your house and from experience they are not cheap

in Sydney only cahs left is M4 - M2 - M5 and Eastern distributor you can still pay cash, but I'm sure it's going to change it should for $5.50 or so.
Bridge, tunnel no cash M7 cross city link - No cash
I'm pretty sure they work here.
Normally here in NSW linked to RTA. I have RTA tags so when they don't go off the nubmer plate reads and it looks into it and goes okay no problem just did not buzz. they just charge as if it did.
all mine are mounted, and I tell you best thing ever.

Ryan, just get a QLD eToll. They work in ALL NSW and VIC tolls.I don't really need a QLD one either. Never go near tolls being this side of Brisbane. Had thought of the idea.
