victoria is a one-off fee :D

true, it's $310, but it's not like you're only gonna keep plates for only a year

Stupid pricks, I want to get some plates but couldn't even justify the cost before, but definately not now.
Dans plates would cost him $50 once off, then $470 per year! Check out this:

Damn,
Lucky I got my MAL323 plates a couple of months ago
then. Thats just out of hand. I thought the $196 up front
was a bit rich but now its a bloody bargain.

I can understand the upfront fee. I mean, they need to feed and house the guy in prison who stamps the plates ( ), but why does it cost $470 per year for them to do the same **** they do for your standard yellow 3 letter-3 number plates? It's just more evenue raising from the government, like "Speed cameras", yeah right.

$1600 once off for custom ACT plates :/

But only $500 for 'personalised' ones like mine - at least they were 6 years ago when I got them :)

Found out I can get mine remade with a slimline front one only 3 letters wide for $120 - would have to be the smallest number plate ever - previously you could only get slimlines with three letters but the plate was full width. 8)

Pity I can't afford it at the moment.
