basically its been a while since i have played on my xbox hey. so i pulled it out today and push the on button. and get nothing. the light comes on but no picture, no audoi nothin.... and then the is a RED light that apears around the on button, where usually its green. i'm not happy jan hey.

can anyone help me please.

thats the 'red ring of death'

google that for more info, normally means the xbox is dead

if so it means that there is a hardware problem, check the light on your power supply if it goes green when you turn the xbox ON then you will need to contact xbox support and they will get you to mail it to them at no cost to you and they will fix it providing you havnt tried to open the case at all

fyi, both my xboxes have had this happen, its a fairly common problem which xbox will fix even if the warranty period has expired (to my knowledge at least) so long as all the case security stickers are intact

fyi, both my xboxes have had this happen, its a fairly common problem which xbox will fix even if the warranty period has expired (to my knowledge at least) so long as all the case security stickers are intact

you can call them or jump onto xbox.com.au and register your console then organise a repair it helps a bit if you have a live account but i dont think it is compulsory

like, 40% of xbox 360's redring lol, that why i bought a PS3 :D
its a good thing microsoft are so helpful about fixing them

the new ones dont. PS3 is in trouble - the big game companies dont want to develop games for them.

true, the ps3 has got cooling issues, and the games are all jumping ship, and its prices is stupid. and then Xbox you have to pay to play online even though microsoft arent even really providing a service. im more of a PC guy :D

take your xbox to the post shop (australia post)and tell them you want to send it to microsoft for service/repairs its all for free (a mate did that)no charge at all

Could goto Gamefix shop & get them to do a repair & alternative firmware flash mod.

That sux. I got my PS3 40g one when they first came out. For some reason when I play undercover the fan goes nutts.

There really hasn't been any good games out for a while.
