As the title states, I'm after a few words of wisdom from anyone who's already been there and done that in regards to fitting a towbar to their BA Astina.

I bought this one (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=180380970018) off eBay this week, got under my car to have a look at where it mounts, and from the looks of things the rear bumper has to come off so I can get it in there.

Hopeful bump...

No-one?

Well I just spoke to the service department at Essendon Fields Mazda, and they set me straight. Seems I will have to completely remove the rear bumper to get the towbar on, and even then it'll require a 'bit of a trim' for the tongue on the towbar to fit once it's mounted...

He said he'd look forward to talking to me again in a week's time after I'd had a go at it myself and found out how difficult it was to do!

:\

Might attempt this one on the weekend rather than after work tonight.
