For a while now Iv had a really wierd problem with my central locking (91 BG) ill put the key in to lock the door, turn the key, the drivers latch goes down, but then there's a big pause (somtimes 10 seconds it varies) till the rest of the latches go. Even if I turn the key and take it out, there is still a big pause... I dont really understand what could be going wrong?!? any help much appreciated.

have u had the car rust proofed they may have sprayed the mechenisum and it is sticking
or maybe its just a combernation off dust an water that has run down the inside the doors over the years causing the same prob sticking

might be the black stuff they use for the plactic inside the door. my rear doors were playing up abit before. just took the door trim off and clean the arm for the central locking. fixed it right up. worth a try.

could be a capacitor in the central locking circuit is getting old.
or maybe the lock arms are rubbing up against something and making them stick
maybe try replacing the central locking circuit box ... sorry dont know which box controls the central locking in a BG. but if u can work out which it is , perhaps swap with someone else or agree with a wreckers that if it doesnt fix the prob, u can return it
