Well, another easy one for the Canberran's.....how does that work?

Anyhow, the Nats are on early January and I know that "twilightprotege" is coming down from the Gold Coast for it.

"twilightprotege" is actually an SP20 but the name exists for the U.S. boards.....probably the fastest N/A SP20 in the country.

So why don't we organise something during the Nats?

I like the idea Critter... although it's a bit out of the way for Lantis, ABC and Myself (all the way across the road! That's four lanes we have to cross!) :)

Seriously though... I'll definitely be in town, probably sitting on the balcony drinkin' beer watching the cars roll by...

I'd offer accomodation to people, but the complex that Lantis and I live in has a _huge_ problem with crime at the moment (motorbikes have been stolen, dozens of cars broken into etc), so I wouldn't even dream of putting any of the boys cars in there...

Also, Lantis' half of the carpark flooded a few weeks ago... UP TO THE CARS EXHAUST PIPES!!!!!

I'll also have to discuss the matter with the minister of war and finance (hi Bek!), but I'm sure we could make room for a sleeping bag or two if the earlier comments don't put people off.

It is after all opposite the 'nats competitor entrance!

Can I book a passenger seat for a cruise one night Critter??? 8)

I plan to lay in my inflatable raft, drink beer and eat hotdogs in the pool like homer simpson and watch the cars drive past.

When's the birthday bash Lantis??? If Critter (and others... come on guys!) come down just for the day, then Saturday would be the obvious choice... that's when most happens at the 'nats... A Saturday BBQ and day-pass to the nats sounds like a great plan to me.

Then there's the usual big unofficial cruise on Friday night (and resulting closing of the streets of Braddon...), so if anyone wants to come down friday night, there'll be much Canberra cruising to be done...

looks like i'm gonna be going down with iaink, twilite, (possibly snert) and some other vectra driver may be interested... we'll see

Don't worry too much odd12c, unless you plan to become a competitor... outside of EPIC, it's pretty well behaved... unless you plan to go to the middle of Braddon near the Caltex and then you're just asking for it IMO.

Inside is where the boys go a little feral, but that's not too surprising...

As for the suggested Manuka/Kingston/Woden cruise, that's a great idea... suggest my place/nats -> Civic -> Manuka/Kingston -> Woden -> Cotter (Brindabella Road - yeah!) -> and back to the city...

But that's just my $0.02 worth!!! :)

Whoever decides to come down for a day for the 'nats, we've got free parking over the road sorted for you.... two of my neighbours are going away, so that's four carparks available to the touring party...

While I did make a post about the crime earlier, it's a heap better than leaving them in the 'Nats carpark and if it's just for the day you should all be right.

The night's for cruisin' anyways... 8)

ok i'm driving down on friday, for an early afternoon arrival.... so heres my plan/itinerary

12noon leave central coast
1pmish stop at thornleigh to pick up others (if needed)
2pm stop at cambelltown maccas to pick up others (if needed)
4pm follow road down stop at goulbourn coz i need to pee badly (i drink lots while driving)
5:15 or so enter the state of porn, weed, firecrackers etc...
6pm check in to my hotel at woden
6:15 get heavy on the drink and get a ride into civic
6:30 keep drinking
etc etc

i may leave earlier still in the air a bit in which all times will roll forward about 4 hours

if anyone has requests for meet spots, or other times let me know...

Okay guys, how's everybody meet at my place for BBQ/beer/pool sometime after 10am Saturday... How do I get there? Well, I'm glad you asked...

Driving into Canberra (from Sydney, southbound), just before the Shell Gateway service station on the highway on the left there is several sets of units. There's a left turn off the highway just before the traffic lights, and I'm in the Starlight apartments. Unit 49 is the place, call me on 0413 881 922 when you get there and I'll come down and let you into the carpark. Call the same number if you get lost! :roll:

I'll organise the food, but BYOG. Oh, and just a reminder that there is a pool and that Lantis has advised that he has an inflatable lounge just for this reason!

I think we'll also have to organise a few games of table soccer Lantis! 8)
With my neighbours away, noise shouldn't be a problem!

i saw the gate it was open, how was i menat to know that both car parks didn't meet in the middle (except there was a pool)

i didn't get a good listen myself.... hmm must go to newcastle to see!!

i took them on the cruise route to show them canberra - they jsut yelled at me coz we had rum!!!!
not all of it, but we tryed god damn it, we did 3/4 the bottle of OP Rum, and 2 bottles of the regular stuff, as well as the 6 pack of beer, and the 7+g shots that we started with in the hip flasks.... all in all we got pretty maggoted.... oh yeah friday we were really messy, was good fun!!!
