A day the visibility was limited to 10-15 meters!
A day your air filter had to work its best to keep the dust out!
A day your CAI sucked in dust like a vacuum cleaner!
A day even the yellow halogen headlights looked like white HIDs!! HIDs looked even whiter!!
A day you'd kill your self if you forgot and left your cloths out to dry over night!
A day that brings a big smile on owners of car wash places!!
A day Sydney water will profit from all that water usage!

A dust storm originated from outback (broken hill, hence the red dirt/dust) and hit Sydney early morning. all flights driveled to Melbourne and Canberra, all ferries canceled, etc

In Logan, the sky is just beige. But I can only just see Daisy Hill Forest from my house, which is only a couple kms away!

Well when I woke up yesterday morning in Newcastle I could have sworn there was a fire in my backyard (I back onto a Nature Reserve) so I freaked out. Went upstairs and called my neighbour and she informed me it was from SA and it was just dust. Driving to work was interesting. Our sky was the colour of Dan's first pics.. pretty hectic. Didn't do any good for my chest or my eyes though. I have a bad cough today because of it!

Oh yeah and Thanks Dan.. might just find one and get it washed tomorrow.

As I was driving to Lordworm's place last night, the atmosphere was getting thicker and thicker. Basically by the time I got to Graceville, there was another small dust storm happening. It wasn't nice having to walk to the shops to get our pizza with the wind blowing so much dust at us. By the time I get back to Logan, we had a bit of it here, but nowhere near as bad as Salisbury and Graceville! MadMat got out of there just in time. :p

we went to the coast yesterday, and driving back on the logan motorway around 4.30 that it was starting to creep in around browns plains.. By the time we got to the old stapylton tolls visibility was down to <1km :eek: what made it really strange was that the coast got none of it!

both cars still look like crap :o
