Can someone help me out with the wiring diagrams for the car (94 BA Hatch). I believe Tony may have them??? Email would be topsa but im assuming you have them in hard copy - have access to a scanner at all?

I lost all my front lights bar the high beams last nite coming home from the city.... not exactly the best of times.

Ive checked all the fuses but all are ok, my assumption is that a relay has shat itself, the high beams must be operated by a seperate relay to the main lights and parkers (Which makes sense)

Considering there are about 3-4 under the dash (prob more i cant see as well as under the hood) I cant be bothered finding/replacing them all.

Cheers.[/color:post_uid0]

yep, i've got them all scanned from the haynes Manual. it's for 94-96 BA astinas, but more than likely is the same for 97-98 ones

i'll upload them for anyone to download...but it's 6mb![/color:post_uid0]

okay, here they are:

BA Astina wiring diagrams (hrdwrbob.net/rupewrecht/wiring_all.zip) - Correct Link!

it's a 6mb zip file. you'll probably have to rotate them, but they'll be quite readable if/when you print them

cheers

Just a note,

the headlight relay is on image_06 marked E2-04. Will update when I know exactly where it is in the car and how to identify it for those who need to later..

according to the diagram, its under the steering column...
two red wires, one white/red wire and one light green/red.[/color:post_uid0]

Hi All,

I'm having a very similar problem - Have lost both headlights and high beams (But not parkers or anything else). Fuses are all fine so I suspect a relay? I have a 1995 BA 1.8.

Anyone know where the relay for the headlights is located?

Rupewrecht, do you still have those wiring diagrams? :P

No relays, just the light switch on the column.
You say that you've checked the fuse under the hood. Check the globes with a meter first and aviod touching the glass, dirt on the bulb will cause premature failure.

only need 1 wire from the ecu then, can be traced back from the rear of your dial cluster.

but why? you already got a tachometer.

From your avitar you have a BG. They have an ignition coil with both + and - terminals. I'm sure the instructions include this and it is way easier than pulling the dash apart.
