Hey there was wondering how much it would cost for a decent brake upgrade as my rotors are warped and need replacing. I have a 98 Astina Hardtop I4. In the package I was after 4 new slotted and/or drilled rotors, new brake pads and fluid.

400 is how much i paid, that was for RDA/bendix (i think it was bendix anyway) and just for parts

Hi mate,
My recommendation would be as follows, with prices:
- Front RDA Slotted Rotors $209 for the pair
- Rear RDA Slotted Rotors $169 for the pair
- Front QFM HPX Pads $79
- Rear QFM HPX Pads $79
- 1L Bottle of TRW GP600 Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid $69
Could package it up for $595, can't really take too much off as the pads are already well below retail. If you wanted to step up the front pads to A1RM, add an extra $40.
Cheers,
Greg

Whats the major difference between the QFM HPX and the A1RM version.

HPX is a Bendix Ultimate equivalent performance wise but very low dust and rotor wear. Good for heavy duty street, but won't do any sort of track work.
A1RM is the street/track pad, similar to a Ferodo DS2500, but again low dust and rotor wear. If you're not doing track work will be massive overkill...

Massive overkill but only $40 extra. Have you got these in stock? If you haven't can you order them please.
EDIT: Just noticed only for the front. Will stick to the HPX then.

Got both HPX and A1RM on the shelf for both front and rear. You can go both A1RM front and rear, but on a budget A1RM front and HPX rear is a nice combo. Rear A1RM is same deal, extra $40 to $119 (RRP $149).

What about the rotors, do you have them in stock?

We don't keep any rotors in stock, but those two parts numbers we've had same day out of RDA the last few times we've ordered them. If they're not in Brisbane, generally no more than 2-3 days from interstate anyway. Fluid's on the shelf.

Any chance for a pick up today maybe.

Nup, too late now to get out of RDA, but both are in stock in Brisbane. Could have everything by lunchtime Monday...

You're in Brisbane so a Courier to you is free anyway. Since we started wholesaling the QFM, retail pickup isn't available. If I could've gotten it all Friday I was going to take it home and you could pick it up from there, but pickup during the week isn't available.

Oh well if its going to be a free courier tell me when it is all in and I will pay for it then and get it delivered. So to make the order clear it will be slotted rotors front and rear, qfm hpx pads for the rear, a1rm pads for the front and the brake fluid for $595 plus $40 for the a1rm so $635 all up.

WOW what quick delivery. Paid for it this morning and received the first package of pads and fluid. Just witing on the rotors and a spare couple of days to do the change over. :D

Yeah Albion Tyre and More. Got the run around yesterday as the tyres weren't there yet and only 2 out of 4 turned up so going back today to get it done. Looks like brake will have to wait til my next day off. :(
