Are you studying to do anything particular and want to get your foot in the door [job snob :p], or are you prepared to work at Coles and or deliver pizzas?

I assume youve applied at Coles and Woolies? If so make sure to ask for the on duty manager and give him/her a CV as well cuts down the wait period to like 2-3 weeks in most cases.

Apply for eagle boys/dominos if your desperate but the wage rates are a little better at woolies, im not sure of the actual amount. But i know for me its about 4 dollars a hr more at coles (but thats being 20). At 18 at eagle boys depending on wage agreement it could be about 16 dollars.

courier?
always see them advertising for people

while im at it, seeing as it matches the topic, im about to turn 18, just finished yr 12 and need a job any ideas, im not studying uni or tafe next year and want full time. prefer something with a career path but basic idea is to save mony for a year and so i can serve a church mission (if i want to in a year or so - dont really want to now) however i wouldn't mind being a courier (driving all day sounds good to me) or other general labor job as the idea is save for a year or so.

currently working for my father on Saturdays cleaning the workshop (well dad owns the business, however i work under the workshop manager not my father) and have been told to apply with the storeman to see if theres any work there (well dad was talking to his business partner about buying a ute so i could be a courier [his idea but i kinda like it] and the business partner said i should see if theres any work at the store) however id like to look at alternitives, specially as im not sure if theres the storework there

If your happy to drive around alot, courier is a good job.

I've resigned as of today (well 3 more correspondence shifts left) due to medical and personal reasons (heck i get my life back, woo!) and I'm taking a 2-4 week holiday to straighten up alot of loose ends before doing some courier work hopefully.

Just a warning, majority of the time you will be required to have your own business basically, run your own ABN (not hard, takes 2-4 weeks) and provide your own transport. pay is pretty decent, just remember to have a GPS, street directory and a toll-pass tag.

+ an abn means i can use cash and carry (wholesale supermarket thats CHEAP)
