It suits the car really well. So the airbag still functions oka s well?
Well, i didnt test it, if that's what you mean...however it's wired to the airbag ECU and there's no error code.

Almost right - that was at the german side of the alps near lake constance, a region called "Allgäu" - black forest is a bit to the northwest from there (and one of the most lovely regions on the world imo - highly recommended :)).

I agree.....its one of the most beautiful places I've been to and the best scenic drive I've ever done. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive.....nice windy road with pictures scenery (all roads I driven in Europe are far ...far ...better than Australian roads!!!) . I was there last summer in the black forest region when I went from France to Switzerland crossing borders during my annual European tour. Those pine trees are very unique for that region....I even visited the cuckoo clock factory and bought one! remember those cows with big bells!! :)
Yeah, it's great fun there on a nice spring or summer day - just awesome!
Just out of curiosity what does the symbol on the back window mean?
Well, i used to be a fan of Gigi d'Agostino and he uses that symbol as a logo - chinese for dance...
Removed it though, dont like that kind of thing any more :)
Test fitted new heater control, dial needles and front speaker system...

stunning sparkle green ba
who do you get your paint from?
also is the front number plate on a bracket or just stuck on
love it
It's stuck on.
Flywheel now lightened...

Still in need of a good clutch though - any suggestions?
Bought a new battery - Optima Redtop
Great power output, however, the fitment is "complicated" (if i'm kind)....
Due to the way it's made it wont fit properly into the slot plus the connectors are too far from the edges... :(
http://www.project-l.com/images/bastel/2010/redtop.jpg
However, the modified aircon panel is working now...
http://www.project-l.com/images/bastel/2010/klimatest.jpg
And finally removed the door openers for painting

Some nice progress you've made Chris. Have you got any pictures of the aircon how its now?
Sold the aircon panel some time ago. The car has been off the streets for about a year now since i bought a MX5 Roadster - however, it's not forgotten and will be back in 2012 :)
However, i decided to sell the MOMO wheels due to their excess weight and got some lighter replacements :)

You can check out my blog if you like for a few more pics http://driving-culture.blogspot.com/2011/07/visiting-old-friend.html :)
The Roadster can also be found there...
Months and years passing by - finally some development! :D
Got some parts back from powder coating, got a new set of wheels and started reassembling the car at the weekend - should be back on the road this month and i'm pretty chuffed!
