Hey All,

I'm driving from Brisbane to Sydney on Sunday. Just wondering when the double demerits period ends and would i need to put P plates on the car (dont have to wear them in QLD :P ). Also are P platers resricted to 80km/h ????

Double demerits ended on Monday, and in NSW, it depends on the color of your P plates. Some are 80, the others are 100, I think. You will need to display P plates.

Anybody confirm/clarify?

May have change a little since I had mine, but ACT P-platers could drive the speed limit and when in NSW had to abide by the state in which they came from.

So an ACT P-plater could do the speed limit on the highway and go straight past a NSW P-plater that had to stick to 80! 8)
