7. STEERING WHEELS
Replacement steering wheels must be not less than 330mm in diameter. If the original steering wheel was designed with a recessed or padded hub, the replacement wheel must be of similar design.
isnt the hub the cylindrical bit that the steering wheel attaches to ? not the centre area of the steering wheel itself !
eg i buy a Momo steering wheel i have to buy a hub to screw it on to

Coz that has padding around it, its a padded hub, therefore it passes the requirements.

It's all in how you read it,
Did I need a certificate for the 13B Turbo in the Cosmo??
An engine or transmission change where the replacement is of the same model, type and capacity as one fitted to a vehicle of that model as original equipment
Original engines:
NA 1.8l 4 cyl
MA 2.0l 4 cyl, optional EFI, optional Turbo
FE 2.0l 4 cyl, optional EFI, optional Turbo
12A 6 port carb
12A Turbo, both EFI and carb
13B 6 port EFI
20B EFI (Only two made it to Australian roads)
4 cyl Diesel, optional Turbo
?3.0 V6?
Mazda put almost everything into this shell and holds/held the record for the biggest range of engines in a production car. So I put in a 13B Turbo :D
