I'm in brisbane and we got like 4 inches of rain in one afternoon the other week. My car was parked on a mad angle (passenger side much lower than driver side) and both the driver and rear driver side footwells had water in them... :(

I have noticed after washing sometimes there will be water left on the front doors kick panels.. is this normal for a BA??? or is this where the water could have come in?

hasn't leaked before, and i assume it was only coz it was on this mad angle..

Anyone else experienced this???

Anyone know how to get the crappy smell out???

cheers ppl

on the kick panels ?? no, no water should be there. Thats where the fuse & joint box etc is !

i get it sometimes on the bottom door sills. i presume its come thru the window seal and down the inside of the door. most ( all ? ) doors actually have drain holes at the bottom to allow this to come out.

if ur getting water around the kick panels, maybe its coming thru the wire loom between the car and the door. make sure the rubber covers are in properly and if u've poked a hole thru the rubber for wires or whatever, make sure its sealed well :)

Yeah,
Water on the door sills is normal but I don't think it comes from the windows as the drainage holes are on the bottom lip of the door, beyond the outer door seal. I believe it comes from the top front of the door where the inner and outer seals become one.

could you car have actually flooded with a rapid rising water in a gutter which drained away?

Other than that the leading egde of your door seals may be getitng a little iffy?
