Hey guys,

The above question came to mind coming home from work yesterday, had an mps3 with albums from Hilltop Hoods, Basement Jaxx, the Prodigy etc, and realised that I have a more aggressive driving style, whereas driving to work had a mp3 full of Jack Johnson, Pete Murray & Jon Butler trio and was somewhat relaxed...

So my question is, does this happen to you guys aswell?

Cheers
Marc

yes! it certainly does! i have to watch it sometimes. dance music (i.e. novanation) speeds up my travels, and generally later gear changes. listening to say, koffee (relaxed, chilled music) my driving is smoother, and gentler...

I think that you would pick music based on your mood.

Your mood would also determine your driving style and aggresiveness.

I would say that they are definitely related but I'm not sure that music would directly affect your driving style.

i think it does, for me anyway. thats why when im pissed of i dont turn on the player at all :p
i mean i know music affects peoples moods for a fact, they do it in shoppin centres ie during the day nice relaxing calming music, then in the last hour or so the tempo is sped up somewhat ;)

WOW, if i take that into consideration, Im always in a bad mood...Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Rise Against...I always have them on...but that music calms me down...R&B and rap make me angry cause there crap!!!!

D Valerius: Pendulum is the best!!!! You got their new album?

I voted no. I always listen to music that makes me happy, which is generally trance/techno/house.

Music that makes me chill or feel happy/calm.

I generally only drive slow when its bright outside or not feeling well, any other time its more or less the same sort of speeds.

i find that if i'm listening to a techno/dance/club heavy bass song... i tend to sorta recline in the chair, wind the window down and just bob my head and drive pretty relaxed.

if a heavy metal song comes on or a more up tempo song i tend to rev higher (switch later), zip in and out of traffic and i have to carefully watch my speed because i tend to drift over.

i find volume also affects it, but i assume thats more of a concentration thing.

definately. late night drives with speed metal/fast trance/electro, windows down and the engine screaming :)

relaxing music is great for peak hour, just cruising

bit of hilltop always makes the right foot a little heavier. also depens on the conditions. If just driving on the motorway i normly just sit on the limit and just cruise dosent realy matter what i lissten to then.

I got the TV - DVD - etc

PORN on the DVD - accidents can happen - even just the sound in traffic can make people in morning peck hour go mental .It's awsome

Sometimes I like watching LISA Wilkinson in the morning on the today show. (yeah I know she older but I don't care I'm old......enough)

But in music - one song I'm breaking driveshafts

KICKSTART MY HEART - MOTLEY CRUE .
2nd by amazingly - Nickleback - ANIMALS the lyrics of this song reminds me of my late high school life. in particular bondi beach - except not her father he brothers ? LOL
I copped a broken rib for that forbbin adventure.

Music does effect your mood. If the wrong song wrong traffic. I've gone mental, several times but it is sydney traffic. Everyone for some weird reason is in rush. I don't rush to work I jsut do the limit and blow everyone at the lights because it's fun. I think that makes them mad - they pass me I eat them. It's great, I just don't get rushing to work.
Rushing home a little but even then I don't bother.

Hey Nothing wrong with more experienced mature Females - Of males if your that way inclined.

Remember everyone one was young once. Look at the Mark Webber, He's a great driver like me and it's all good.

Alot of people think Kim Catrall still has it - I would not say no and yes I do think I'd like her more at the age of when she did- Big trouble in little china - OR Police Academy - OR even one of her firsts PORKYS. OH yeah the braking DOG LOL ( for those of us old enough to remember.) Ps - don't watch sex and the City 2 it's 2 hours of your life you will never get back. I swear I was forced by single mans worst thing ever- Mates' and there wife's.

there is nothing wrong with older ladies of tv. i mean dont get me wrong, i would never ever be interested, but back in the day, when they got on to tv, when they were in their prime, to be on tv you had to be damn hot. not like these days that anyone can get on.

and as for sex and the city 2, im taking sanja next week, i actually wanna watch it, the story isnt bad, iv seen worst movies (wog boy 2.. the tony the yugoslav thing isnt funn any more, and is offencive to me haha)
