Hi All,
Proud new owner of a gunmetal grey 2003 manual SP20. I mostly ride to work so I was looking for a little runabout hatchback that could fit a bike in the back, and I have always been a fan of the BJ model Astina's. My previous car was a manual Mitsubishi 380 VR-X which I traded in for the Mazda and couldn't be happier.
Loving it so far. Impressed with its fuel economy, but that is not hard when the 380 was consistently around 14L/100kms.
I have a history of modifying cars that I've owned over the years (I'm 26), but for this I probably just have plans for wheels/lowering and a decent stereo.
Pics below. I particularly love the colour!

Welcome to AGT,
Enjoy your time here,
BTW awesome colour!!!!
I bought my car because I could fit my bike in the boot easily as well.
As far as mods go a decent CAI and a good exhaust is a great place to start.
323's are really good at droning so be careful choosing your exhaust.
welcome amoungst the ranks mate
loving the colour
gun metal is awesome

i bought the BA more so that i LOVE the shape than how much it was. the lower price did help fund the few mods that i have done :D

Probably not much. Actually I partly have you to thank for the purchase because I saw pics of your car online and was very impressed with how good these sp20's look when lowered on some suitable wheels. There are a couple of stunning pics online of your car!
I am liking some of these cheap CX7/MPS wheels which fit, but lowering, rims and a stereo is probably all I will do. I've been through my boy racer phase in life with my old TE Magna and while it was lots of fun I'd say I will be more conservative with the Mazda.
From past experiences though I think the challenge to try and beat some of the 1/4 mile times I've read about on here will tempt me...(tried to perfect that art in the Magna) :D
Welcome mate, I agree with the colour, it's amazing

Haha no worries mate, and I aint no photographer, only a bloke with a point & shoot thats trigger happy :p
Yeah 18" Mazda rims go for around $250-$500, which is cheap in my opinion, and now with new models coming out, the older MPS & CX7 rims will get cheaper ;)
