They are exterior, but you can't see them unless you open the door.

I got Bruce some Ford "XR" Scuff plate inserts on the way back to Canberra they sit in a small recessed area in the plastic sills. Overall the improvement in looks is quite amazing. In nearly every car where I've seen some for of brushed metal scuffs on it's always had a great positive impact...

Pick up a copy of Max Power and without getting distracted byt the boobies note the websites for their big ricer Mail-order places - most have sill plates for everything....
