LOL

well, there was an S15 200SX (standard apart from exhaust) last night that i had 4 carlengths on by the time we hit 140...and i had a passenger

and the TX5 Turbo (highflowed turbo/exhaust) that i had almost a carlength on from 40-90...

but i got beaten by a HDT Brock Commodore (no idea what was done to it - but it wasn't standard!) by a couple of carlengths to 130ish...

ah well, it's all good fun.

*disclaimer* i don't condone street racing at all...only when it's errr safe hah :p[/color:post_uid0]

Go Rupe!!!

Oh, BTW, can we see your car in any upcoming car mags? If so, let us know which one(s).[/color:post_uid0]

trust me... you can not compare a boosted astina to a 200sx.
all the 200sx will see are the taillights...... :D[/color:post_uid0]

yeh but four carlengths? thats just too much...
but, it's good too hear that some astina can be a bully sometimes instead of beeing bullied...

i'll just have to wait till my warranty is nearly expired, then i'll work on the engine. boost it up...

Acutally, i noticed the new plates in the photos that CEPAT posted up. How long have you had them Dan, and how much a year do they cost??

Adam[/color:post_uid0]

MrShadow
17-12-2002, 07:43 AM
From memory, about $300 per year, plus some once off fees to get the plates.[/color:post_uid0]

it's running about 7psi at the moment, just until i get used to it...or until someone canes me good and proper!

I've had the [b:post_uid0]WRECHT[/b:post_uid0] plates for about 2 weeks on the car, but had them ordered for a couple of months. they were $310 - a once-off fee in victoria :p and they're almost an identical match to Passion Rose -they're jsut reflecting in those pics...[/color:post_uid0]

ABC
18-12-2002, 12:22 AM
In the ACT Personalised plates are about $550 (well they were a few years ago anyway when I got mine) and unique plates are a ****-ton more expensive... like $1700 or something like that. No yearly fee either.

Difference: Personalised are like initials (ie: ABC or ABC:007) and unique ones are ones like 'WANKER' or 'TOOLBAG' - yes you CAN have 7 letters.

On a different topic but same discussion...
I WANT A TURBO TOO!!! :D
I have a mate with a SS Commode and would love nothing more than to smoke his ass with my little Astina.

mmmmm...... V6 Turbo....
Kind of rolls off the tounge nicely doesn't it. :)

We gotta catch up in the new year Dan. I am busting
to know how much more power the BP has with a bigger
turbo than the standard cause mine is good but nothing
compared to the kills you are knocking up.

yeah, the best way is to take off slowly (or roll off) in the first gear, and not so hard in the second to get the traction, then hammer it in the 3rd onwards. it will be easier on the gearbox too.

good to hear more astina kicking arses! loving it! :)[/color:post_uid0]

Since we are on the topic if kills,on the weekend i raced 2 turbo lasers, the first 1 was a stock standard 4wd Turbo KH laser which i killed(this is no lie,had witnesses) :p
The second was a KF(i think) with the GTX import turbo engine,we had a rolling start race (2nd gear 60kph) and i held him all through second and then he started pulling on me when i hit third :)
Dont know what came over my car but its been running bloody quick lately :O[/color:post_uid14]

that's an impressive list fellas... i like the idea of whooping the s15...big turbo, a few less kgs... go the hardtop!
now dan... over 25km/h and loss of license for at least one month... make sure you get in touch with me before you go to calder... i'll definately come down to watch the horrified faces of the normal 4cyl turbo guys there... woohoo!

i've got a kill list too.... whooped an AUTO black 2002 update sp20... :D[/color:post_uid0]

Well my car would be about 14.5sec 1/4 mile atm

I raced my friends s15 200sx with Filter exhaust and boost last nite...
His car does about a 13.5sec 1/4 mile

So with my next round of mods I should have a chance:
2.5" dump pipe, high flow cat (Jan 6th)
450hp Fuel Pump (Jan 7th)
Oil air separator (Jan 7th)
Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller (Jan 11th)

Just need to steal that turbo and box outta dan's car...[/color:post_uid0]

hmmmm..... ill take your word on that one.

My best moment was beating a '99 Suzuki GTi with zorst, extractors, filter, unichip and timing changes. 4 times in a row.

Low point: Commodore V6 auto.... :( I dont know what happened.
