Head lights

Hey,

Changed my head lights today to a white halogen bulb. I noticed that my lights are pointing almost at a 40 degree angle towards the road and i have to bend down along way to see the actual glow of the light. When i'm driving i struggle to see any light coming out the front cause they are pointing so far down. Is there a way to move them up a bit so i can see 10 meters in front of me? my car is a ba hardtop.

Hey there Chris,

I experienced the same problem when I put in my Philips Blue Vision globes.. go over to this (http://www.astinagt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=487&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start =0) page and have a look at what's written in there... You'll see that I've posted an image of the BA Hatch fron assembly.. the hardtop shouldn't be too much different hopefully... Be careful though as they're easy to break.

Hey mate,

Thanks for that, the hatch is slightly different to the hardtop, the screw for the hardtop is in a very awkward place just behind the light but you can only get to it through a small gap in the body. its on the outer part of the engine bay at the end of the light through the square hole where the wires run accross.

I had the same prob,i just put a flat washer under where the light bolts to the top of the radiator support and its lifted the lights slightly and made a big diff :D

What the hell! r the globes in properly?? + U should not need washers! They should have adjustments on them to be done with a headlight aligner so they r within autralian spec!

Well mine were adjusted as high as they could go and still pointed to the ground,so measures had to be taken :P
BTW the washer isnt visible in my case,so its all good,and like i said the vision is a hell of alot better :D
