Hi. My name is Darren and I'm an alcoholic.
Oops, wrong forum. :P
Thanks to whoever it was with the champagne coloured SP20 who came and told me about this place last night at the BP in North Richmond.
I bought my SP20 2 days after they were released back in 2001 so I have one of the original "limited edition" yellow ones. What a crock of poo that was. Anyway its my daily driver and I have a nitrous Peugeot 205GTi for my weekends, drags and track enjoyment. My wife loves the SP20 and flogs it from me whenever she can. So I get stuck with her Camry. :(
I once had a young guy with another SP20 flash his headlights to me on James Ruse Drive a few months ago. If your on here mate you took me by surprise because I find that only happens to me when I'm in the Pug and I see other Pug owners. Sorry I didn't flash back.
Cheers.
Darren

Welcome, I think you're going to fit right in :D
Welcome Darren! The SP20s numbers are really growing thick and fast now. Any mods done yet? That must have been Critter with the champagne SP20.

No mods done and none planned. Its my every day car so I like it quiet and standard just to potter to and from work. My Peugeot is LOUD, rough as guts, fast and the non-refined car.
Oh, I do have a bit of a stereo in it. Its got 6" Pioneer splits up front, 4 channel V-Net amp and a 10" Sony Xplod sub in a sealed box. Its all run off the factory 6disc in-dash head unit. But it still sounds bloody fantastic for the $$$$.
The only other thing I have done is go to a different width and profile tyre. I've gone to 205/45/16. I find this is a little firmer ride but a BIG step up in terms of handling. And it gives you a bit more of a choice in tyre. Still not a hugely popular size but there are definately more available than in the 195/50/16 size.

Once you have been here for a while, the mods on the Astina might well trickle in.... just the cheap little things you can do yourself at first, then... a couple of dollars here and there and WHAMMO.....
before you know it
you will be addicted to the alcohol and the mod, lol!!

One of my mates worked night-shift in Ballarat, they would finish work at 8:00am, drive to the lake and polish off a slab before 9:00. Now that's dedication
