Hey guys I am looking to put some XXR 522s with a sizing of 17x8 with +35 offset on my car 2001 sp20. I will have a 205/50 r17 tyre on them,Does anyone see any problem with the fitment of these wheels?

Yep, lol will be poking outa the guards a bit (might be the look you after.)
But to gie you some idea. I have mazdaspeed MST-II in 7.5 +50 18"
With 215/35/18. Stock camber and stock guards, scrapes the guards a touch on big bumps

Yeah, I am looking for a little bit of poke, it's the style i am going for. If I roll my guards should everything be O.K?

Rolling guards isn't enough.. You will also need to add more camber to fit them under.
But finished product looks mint!

What will adding more camber involve?

What will adding more camber involve?

either adjustable camber strut tops or a full set of coilovers (can go bc coiler over from just jap) or not sure if if you can but some times you can get camber adjustment bolts depending on set up

camber bolts and guards rolled youll be sweet..

what suspension you running atm ?

soo with 17x8 35+ youll be sitting 3mm wider then my set up atm (16x7 25+) anddd with the standard sp20 (16x6 48+) wheels it will sit an extra 41mm out..

what i did was use this websitee.. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
put in your specs for current n the wheels you want then measure with a tape measure out from the tyre to give a rough idea on where they till sit.

this is the message chris sent me about his wheels (same specs as you wanna go):
never had an issue on mine but i had the rear guards rolled, camber bolts in the the rear to run a bit of negative camber and 205/40/17 rubber on the 8inch wide rim which was stretched the tyre a bit.

btw dude im running xxr 522 atm and will be down at wollongong harbour on thrusday night with a couple other members if you wanna have a look :).. should get down there around 8-8.30ishh

I'm just running stock suspension at the moment, but I'm looking to go 2" or so lower with a set of Super lows?
How would that effect my ability to run the wheels?

How much roughly would some camber bolts set me back?
Yeah, thanks heaps man, I will probably come down to the harbour with a couple of mates aswell then, Cheers!

yeahh depends how low you wanna go will effect how much camber n how much guard work will be involed.. chris180 was running king superlows i thinkk which is a 50mm dropp and had no trouble after rolling guards and a bit of camber

with camber u will be sweet im usually roling on 18x7.5 +35 and im lower than what the king springs offer and i can get tuck and almost 40mm gap bewteen the top of the tyre and the wheel arch with max camber settings which is around 8 or 9 degrees. also camber bolts can cost 100 plus depends where u get them and shipping
