View Full Version : Coilovers rebuild ??

So the jic magics I have ( bought not long ago I might add) my front right has died, oil leaking all over it ( spilling out the top) and in turn it no longer works correctly, so I need info on where to get them or it rebuilt? Any info, and does anyone know if this can be achieved at home by replacing o rings and replenishing liquids and so on ?

not a home job sorry. pressurised system etc.

last time inquired about rebuilding a coilover, it was $220 minimum about 3 years ago. and you dont have to, but really need to build them in front/rear pairs.

TSR, same mob that rebuild those JICs many moons ago.

I'm sure if you googled ' rebuild shock nsw', you'd find alternative closer to home.

so the (not a home job) is a more of I wouldnt try it or no it cant be done! my fathers very very handy with things like this but i just dont know what im getting myself into thats all

so anyone know where it is that rupe apparently got these coilovers REBUILT?

just re read it thanks, so id like to know did this comany rebuild the shocks as in re oil an re gas or did they replace the inserts ?

Yes, TSR did them. Just a regas for the fronts, a KYB replacement for the rears.

would u happen to know if the KYB replacements is an option for the front as well and or how much the regas is going to be ?

5 years ago ?? i thought when they were sold they where said to be rebuilt a couple of years ago, did you have them rebuilt or did u buy them rebuilt ?

I had them rebuilt. It's at least 3 years, **** dude, i don't remember.
