The panel gaps are way better then my project car! Any body damage? Just keep it away from ankle choppers and traybacks!!! The body, seals etc look in good form.

looking good but remember people we're encouraging him to get his project whipped into shape not the daily, clean and tidy will keep the cops off his back until then.

Meh, clean and tidy is one thing but a nice set of 15" rims would be nice.
A V6 strut brace would also make a nice difference to the standard handling without breaking the bank.

Have said brace. Exhaust almost got fitted but realized it uses a different flange and bolting the whole thing up was way too much effort. My mate was going to install coilovers today until he realised the rear ones are still in my project car. Need to fix the heater core on the weekend. Painted the bonnet black. Not sure if I like it or not. Came out with spray lines all through it, so it'll be redone in the near future.

Black bonnet = cop bait

Which is ok. Under the hood is oil free, stock and legal. Tail lights although tinted are clearly visible from 100 m away and I masked off the reflector completely. So cops can happily waste their time :)

And book you for being 5 klm over the speed limit or any other little fine they can throw at you

needs re-spraying, not sure if I like it yet, will get a set of rims on it first and then decide. have a spare bonnet anyway ;)

black roof and hatch above the garnish?

Clean_Cookie

not painting the roof. too hard to "fix" may get a cheap lot of vinyl and wrap it to see how it looks, but its a bit over the top already=

its missing something. i cant explain it but the front just looks bare? if you know what i mean.

i think its the gap at the bottom of the front bar. if you put foggies in, i think it'd fill that area a lot nicer.

Guys STOP IT!!
This is his daily stop giving him ideas :p
Congrats man, looks great, I'd honestly keep it like that and put all effort into the project now, because I can't wait to see it finished

You mean the foggies that look like they are there but taped up in this pic?

I have a pair of blans that would fill the holes. New in Mazda packaging.

There's a set of foglights. Which doesn't require effort to install like the hardtop ones! Removed for ease of painting, which reminds me I still need to post the relay and switch ahh crap. If the paint I got autobarn to mix of the factory colour had of worked there would be a MS lip on the front too, but it would look dumb in black and worse in a different shade of white...

But I'll take you up on the blanks, send me a pm :)

Getting some small light weight 15"ms01f and not keen on buying another whole kit. So far I've spent about $70 on paint and supplies.

+2 project car! keep one mint and in top form; all seals gaskets and crap replaced and go hard on the project car, cant wait to see it finished.

It's just waiting for a 5k respray. Wiring is almost figured out. Once it is sprayed it will be complete the interior and all of that jazz, (minus the white seats!) And wrap the rest of it in plastic. Then while doing that rebuilding the motor and dropping it in. Start a new job so hopefully it'll be sprayed before christmas.
