Well seeing that everone goes for a BP turbo i thought i would look at something a little different. What about the 2.3 supercharged engine from the eunos 800 (blame tony - his car gave me the idea!! lol sorry)

A) is it front wheel drive?
B) would it fit into a BG astina and if so
C) would it be a direct bolt up

If anyone has a spare 2.3 superchardged lying around i am willing to experiment!!!

The V6 astina has many differences. When swapping the KF 2.0 for a KL 2.5 you need to retain the Astina inlet manifold to fit under the hood (also helps to keep the ECU and wiring the same) de-ja-vu brake master cylander, gearbox and drive shafts are also different but still FWD.
Miller superchargers have an issue where parts are not available to repair them so it's $7500 to replace when they start to blow smoke

Anything is possable with a big enough budget

Why not try the BPD from the Familiar for something different?

something diffrent i.e. a BPD has a serious pricetag attatched! a BPD is the engine out of the familia GTR which was the beez neez familia. engines go for around the 4K mark if u can find one

cheers mike

Or custom turbo exhaust manifold, turbo, FMIC and an MSD ignition module would probably cost much the same but attach to your original engine. OK for about 6 pounds of boost.

Might be higher price tag for the engine, but would you prefer that now, or later when the supercharger decides that it's bye bye time?

If you can find a BPD in a condition worth buying. Go for it.

They are few and far between.

BPT is the cheapest bang for your buck.

It costs about $3500 for a new supercharger but you can get units from the states that have been re-engineered for $1800US

Its a really weird motor and Im not sure how easy it would be. Its pretty much the same block as the 2.0 and 2.5 but its got varible valve timing to adjust the miller cycle timing. If you want something crazy put a 2.5L motor in and get a eaton supercharger kit for it.
