I finally got around to removing the BA V6 hubs to possibly do a swap to my BG. Just need to know easiest way to remove and refit the stub axles?

From what I can gather theyre pressed in but I am unsure?

Any help appreciated. Cheers!

the driveshaft nuts are one time use only, so go buy new ones first

remove the driveshaft nut, the two bolts holding the spindle to the strut... swing the spindle over.... thread the nut back onto the driveshaft then use a sledge hammer to pound it out... the nut will protect the threads from damage

if it's really stuck, then you'll need to seek professional help!

hey damo are you talking about the actually stub of the drive sharft or the hub flange??( like the peice with the wheel studs on?? if you are talking about the flange then yer they are pressed in man, and you'll have to get a new wheels bearing kit for it on the fronts, other wise the rears are just remove the center cap and there should be like a 32mm-ish nut just remove that and the hole hub comes off in one peice

someone should make a handful of these tools. I have one myself. Will need to get a 5 stud one soon. Makes separating drive shafts from the hubs easier and salvageable. I bought this from Automotive Plus in Aspley, Brisbane. I dont think its an off the shelf item. May need to ask them about it if anyone wants to buy them.
