I have come across an imported 1994 323 Astina Lantis and am interested in buying it. The car itself appears to be in great condition, has done low kilometres and runs well :)

I'm writing to see if anyone would be able to tell me a bit of general information about these cars - getting parts for them (especially engine parts - costs, accessibility and availability) and how many of the imported models are getting around in Australia?

Thanks guys!

Stef :D

parts are practially the same as far as i know. mechanically anyway.

theres a few extra luxury features that the imports have - elec folding mirrors, cup holders etc. possibly a different ecu.

finding parts should be no problem as most of the parts are interchangeable with the aus-spec astinas

Welcome aboard the good ship AstinaGT.

I wouldn't be too woried that it's an import, if it was a V6 I'd jump at it. The japaneese models had one or two nice options, climate control (I want my climate control back) and the early ones were an inch lower than the local model.

Oh, now I get why you guys keep complaining about the 4X4 look on yours at stock height, while I keep scraping the front bumper on mine!
