well my grill has finally arrived.

this arvo i installed it on the car just to see how it looks (in the picture it looks more white, but it's actually a light grey). i reckon it looks fantastic. anyway, i will be painting it shortly, but just thought i'd share. what do you all think???

oh, and is this the only grill on a 20 like this in australia???

yeah that's what i was planning, just trying to work out how to attach the mesh. i was just doing a test fit before it gets painted.

i'm going to paint the insides of the headlights at the same time.....ready for the dyno day to show off :D

Ohh.. pretty! That will look great when it's all finished off. .the JDM style headlights will tie in nicely too!

it's made out of fibreglass, a copy of the autoexe grill. pretty good quality, but not perfect. had to just file off a bit of the edging and it's now perfect. lucky i did a test fit before painting it!

cosmo, there is a guy in the us who has done something similar, and it looks really good. the grill and the indent area of the bonnet is painted dark grey and the rest of the car is black. i didnt think it would look good, but he's pulled it off really well. actually i think the wings west sp20 protege is like that (red car and black painted grill and bonnet indent)

so there isnt one of these in oz that anyone knows about?

i got it on the www.msprotege.com forums in the DG motorsports group buy - ended up costing $135usd inc shipping. pretty good in my books

anyway, it's now painted....and the insides of my lights as well....i will post better pics when i have my mum's digi cam back - my wife's camera cant focus and the pictures are all blurred...but here's the best one anyway.

the mesh in the grill doesnt look like it's there on this picture, i think the flash highlighted the radiator more than what it really looks like

dude, buy a new one... kmart sell digi cams for like $180 3x optical, 2x digi (who cares) sure its only 2mp, but you don't need anymore than that... thats a fuji 205s
