hey guys
looking at taking the rear bar off my astina to realign it after the previuos owner damaged it
how much is involved in removing the rear bar?

yes I am talking about the BG Astina SP that I have now
thats why I called the topic BG Rear Bar :P

Sounds like you'll have do do a bit of the old trial and error mate!
I reckon its stuck down to the hatch. Its a funny old part! :D

if you take your boot trim out you`ll see all the fixings for removing the bar.
there`s 4 bolts at the back 2 either side and i reckon when you remove these you might find you can remove the bar by sliding it backwards. mind the number plate light! :wink:

good luck with it, i know mine is just a bunch of screws behind the trim, and some screws on the bottom.... experiment, the bar should slide back.... when it doesn't slide, work out whats jamming it, try again...
hopefully your rear bar isn't secured by security bolts like mine is...!

I tryed the other weekend and didn't look inside the boot behind the trim
I found every other nut and bolt beside them
that must be what was holding it on

A while ago some guy on a motor bike ran into the back of mine before it was well my car and it got a new rear bar on it but its not perfect, like there is a tiny bit of a gap underneith where the red clear 323 bit is
hard to notice but well i stil see it!!!!
